Mark your calendars for a Fun-Filled June at the Meadowlands Racetrack

The fun keeps rolling at the Meadowlands Racetrack in June with an action-packed promotions schedule. Live racing takes place every Friday and Saturday night, with a 6:20 p.m. post time.

Every live race night, fans can enter Horseplay. Pick up a free horse at the promotions table and throw the horse into the car for a chance to win $100 and an entry into the Friday, August 2^nd drawing for a brand new 2024 Toyota Camry.

Saturday, June 1^st, is the return of our famous Wiener Dog Derby. This family-friendly event features dachshunds racing at the track between live harness racing. This year, ten doggie heats will kick off at 6 p.m., and the Wiener Dog Final will take place on the track at 10 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Another $5K Handicapping Contest takes place on Saturday, June 8^th. There is no entry fee ($100 live money bankroll required) for players, and the prize pool is a guaranteed $5,000 – fully funded by the Meadowlands Racetrack. On Saturday, June 15^th, the annual BBQ Extravaganza returns to the track. $2,500 is up for grabs in the Battle, with $500 top prizes for the best brisket, chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and the fan favorite. Over twenty-five food trucks will be onsite serving everything from BBQ to empanadas, burgers, ice cream, bacon, and more. Admission and parking are free.

Also on Saturday, June 15, is Executive Chef Chris Burnett’s 5-Course Caribbean Cocktail Dinner. The menu features Conch fritters paired with a Bajan Rum Punch, Arroz con Pollo paired with a Mai Tai, Jerk Chicken with a Mojito, Fish Stew paired with a Cuba Libre, and Rum Cake served with a Pina Colada. This fabulous dinner is $69.95 plus tax and gratuity and includes a live racing program and a $10 voucher for reservations. Call 201-TheBigM.

On Saturday, June 22nd, the vino will flow at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment for the Meadowlands Wine Festival.  Doors open for VIP Admission ($65) at 4:00 pm, General Admission ($45 in advance or $50 at the door) at 5:00 pm, and wine is poured until 9:00 pm. Fest-goers will experience an evening of great wines from around the world, live harness racing, music, and food. Closing out the month on Saturday, June 29^th, is the Brendan Byrne Brawl produced by Independent Superstars of Pro Wrestling. This family-friendly live pro wrestling event features seven action-packed matches, including Crowbar vs ISPW champion Rey Calitri and Big Vito vs Rick Recon. The wrestling matches take place in between the live harness racing. Tickets are just $20 in advance or $30 the day of the event.
