A Sizzling Saturday at the Meadowlands

This Saturday, September 9^th is the Meadowlands Racetrack’s first Steaks and Stakes night. Registered teams compete in two steak cook-off categories plus “anything bacon” and best margarita ancillary competitions.

Beginning at 4pm, popular DJ ALX will be onsite entertaining the competing teams and fans until 10pm. While onsite, guests can enjoy $5 craft beer specials and delicious BBQ including brisket, pulled pork, mac-n-cheese and more.

Live harness racing kicks off at 620pm highlighted by the NJ Classic Series Finals for 2 and 3 year olds.

The Steak CookOff Association, dedicated to “building the sport of steak cook-offs,” has sanctioned this event. Those interested in competing can register here

The first steak category turn-in is at 5pm with Steak B category turn-in at 6:30pm.  The winners for all four categories will be announced at 8pm.
