Calling all pie bakers! Meadowlands Racetrack is serving up a slice of friendly competition with its inaugural Pie Palooza on Saturday, November 7, inviting baking enthusiasts to showcase their best recipes and compete for cash prizes in four delicious categories.

Whether your specialty is sweet or savory, Pie Palooza gives bakers the chance to test their creations before a panel of judges and earn recognition and rewards for their culinary talents.

Competitors may enter one or more of the following categories:

• Best Savory Pie
• Best Apple Pie
• Best Fruit/Berry Pie
• Best Cream/Custard-Based Pie

Cash Prizes Awarded in Each Category

• 1st Place: $500
• 2nd Place: $250
• 3rd Place: $100

In addition to the baking competition, guests can test their speed and appetite in the Pie Eating Contest, where contestants will race to finish as many pies as they can and earn bragging rights and cash prizes as Meadowlands’ Pie Palooza Pie Eating Champion.

The Peach Cobbler Factory will be on-site selling their famous sweets to guests, and following the competition, fans can snack on a slice of pie from the award winners (while supplies last).
