Meadowlands Racetrack Handicapping Contest Wrap-Up

After cashing in on nine of his twelve wagers, Nick Montemurro walked away with the $2,000 grand prize after winning the track’s $5,000 live-money handicapping contest on Saturday, June 8.
Montemurro cashed in on nine of his twelve wagers to finish the contest with a final bankroll of $245.50.
Karen Fossli, who hit on her first four wagers, remained in the top five the entire contest and solidified a second-place finish with a $228 score in the final Meadowlands race of the night.
John Gioberti took third place, Jim Bohnarczyk took fourth, and Bill Finnigan slipped into fifth.

The upcoming handicapping contest schedule:
- Saturday, July 27, is the 30 & Under Handicapping Contest. The free handicapping contest is exclusively for fans between the ages of 18 and 30 and offers a $5,000 total prize pool, with prize payouts to the top five finishers. The contest format requires players to make a mythical $2 “across the board” wager on one horse in races 2 – 11 at the Meadowlands. The winner is the contestant that amasses the largest mythical bankroll from their selections
- Saturday, November 16, features another live money contest with a $5,000 prize pool – fully funded by the Meadowlands Racetrack. Based on a customer request, the format will be open to all wagers (W/P/S/Exacta/Trifecta/Superfecta/Pick X) with a $10 min wager per race. There is no entry fee, though a $100 live money bankroll is required.
