Meadowlands Horseplay June Donation

Horseplay, a fan favorite promotion, began Friday, May 5^th. Participants attempted to throw their numbered horse into the window of a moving car. A winner, randomly chosen from all the horses that make it into the car, received a $100 betting voucher.  Each night’s winner was entered into a grand prize drawing to win the brand new 2023 Toyota Camry on, Friday, August 4^th.

For the month of June, over one thousand participants attempted to throw their numbered horse into the moving car for a chance to win. So far, seventeen contestants are entered to win the car in August.

For every horse that made it into the Horseplay car, Meadowlands Racetrack donates $5 to the designated monthly charity and $5 to Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program.

The June donation recipient was Spectrum360. Its mission is to provide the highest quality educational and therapeutic programs for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. Through individualized treatment plans, participants work to overcome learning, language, and social/emotional challenges in an effort to achieve their maximum potential. The charity will receive $1,545.

“Horseplay participation has exceeded expectations these last two months,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO & GM of the Meadowlands Racetrack. “Not only do onsite fans have a great time playing the promo, it also enables us to give back to our community.”
