Local Breweries Highlight Meadowlands Beerfest

The annual Meadowlands Racetrack Beerfest takes place on Saturday, May 21^st. Doors open for VIP admission at 4:30 pm with General Admission at 5:30 pm and beer is poured until 9:30pm. It is an evening of great craft beer and horse racing, both live harness racing and the Preakness Stakes simulcast.

Though sixty breweries and cideries are participating, the thirteen participating New Jersey breweries are a true festival highlight.

Second year participant, Untied Brewing Company of Providence will be serving up File This, a New England style IPA, Astronaut In The Ocean milk stout and Neuhaus Belgian quadruple.   Montclair Brewery is a newcomer this year and is sure to impress festival goers with three of their beers: Hibiscus Dream, a smoky beer, Fume and National Emergency IPA.

New Jersey Beer Company, based in North Bergen, is featuring refreshing Strawberry Lemonade Sour and its Jersey Boys IPA.  Opportunity from Flemington will pour Slingo Stout, Ocean Haze and fan favorite Irish Amnesia.

902 Brewing, Meadowlands beer fest favorite, will quench festival goers thirst with delicious brews as will Ghost Hawking Brewing of Clifton.  Mango Chombo Pale Ale and M.A.C. West Cost IPA will be served by Angry Erik Brewing of Newton.

The Alementary Brewing Company of Hackensack will pour their signature Hackensack Lager and Random Placement Hazy Pale Ale while Lone Eagle of Flemington will be serving Flemington Fog IPA and their Station Haus German Lager.

Other NJ breweries that will be featured at the event include Cricket Hill, Jersey Girl and Flying Fish.

The Annual Beer Fest will be held in the Backyard and on the East Apron and will open to the public at 4:30 pm for VIP admission.  General Admission begins at 5:30 pm and is available in advance for $45 or at the door for $50.  The VIP ticket is $65 and includes an additional 1 hour of sampling, exclusive VIP Tent beer samplings, and food.  Live harness racing will commence at 6:20 pm.

New Jersey Craft Beer Club members will receive a free $10 betting voucher when they show their card at the festival entrance. Must be 21+ to attend
