Get ready for an incredible night filled with flavor at the Meadowlands Racetrack’s popular Chili Cook-Off this Saturday, January 17.

As of January 13, there are 15 chili heads competing in the traditional red chili category, 36 talented cooks in the home-style chili contest going for the $500 grand prize, and 20 salsa makers battling it out for their own $500 reward.

This year’s competition features over $3,000 in prizes, including:

Homestyle Chili:
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

Red Chili:
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

People’s Choice Chili:
* $250 Grand Prize

Best Booth:
* $250 Grand Prize

Salsa: (must be home-made, no store-bought salsa allowed)
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250- 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place
