December Events at the Meadowlands Racetrack

The Meadowlands Racetrack hosts racing every Friday and Saturday plus Thursday, December 7 with a 6:20pm post time.

This Holiday time of year is perfect for giving back to the local community and the track has made that easy to do with the annual Toys for Tots collection drive. For the sixth year in a row Quincy Enunwa will be onsite helping collect new, unwrapped toys to donate to SBH Health System. Toys will be collected through Saturday, December 9^th at 8:30pm.

Kicking the month’s events off is The BStreetBand, the most requested Springsteen Tribute band. This longest running Bruce Springsteen tribute band will play in Trackside on Saturday, December 2. Event doors open 6pm with the band playing 7-9pm. Cover charge is $20 and can be purchased in advance at PlayMeadowlands.com

On Friday, December 8 comedy returns to the track. Rory Lutz of Last Stop Comedy and Travis Przybylsi of Netflix and Hulu host this hilarious night of standup. Isaac Gartenberg and Eric Walsh join this show with more talent to be announced. Tickets are just $25 can be purchased at qrco.de/wintercomedy

Saturday, December 9 has events sure to interest everyone in the family:

• For foodies the track’s Executive Chef Burnett has crafted a luxurious 4-course Steakhouse Dinner. The menu is $100 per person (plus tax & gratuity) and includes a complimentary glass of champagne, live racing program, and $10 betting voucher. For the main course diners will need to select their cut of steak, choices include a 16oz ribeye, 8oz filet, 24oz porterhouse or a 36oz tomahawk for two (+$50 additional). • For the die-hard racing fan, author and retired harness trainer Freddie Hudson will be onsite beginning at 6pm for a special book signing of his latest book “Superfecta Trial.” The “Superfecta Trial” by Freddie Hudson is now available at Amazon in both paperback and hardcover forms. The book covers the true story of 13 of harness racing’s top drivers who were arrested, indicted and put on trial in the national and worldwide media spotlight.

Saturday, December 16 is also packed with wall to wall events:

• The very popular classic rock band The PastMasters will play in Trackside. Music begins at 5:30pm and runs until 11pm. Trackside is located on the ground floor and full bar and waitress service will be available.
• NY Jets great and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Klecko will be at the track signing autographs and talking football with fans from 5:30-6:30pm.
• UFC fans can then watch UFC 296 Edwards vs Covington in our 2^nd floor Gallery with the main event scheduled for 10pm

To close out the year, on Saturday, December 30^th, the Meadowlands has Fan Appreciation night.  Guests can enjoy $1 hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels and soda and $2 Bud and Bud Light from 6-11pm.
