Calling All Cooks for the Meadowlands Annual Chili Cook-Off

Think you make the best chili? Put your savory chili to the test in our annual Winter Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, February 17!

As of February 2, 19 contestants are registered to compete for the $1,000 grand prize while 5 contestants are entered in the Salsa category, with a $500 grand prize.

There are also cash prizes for the runners up in each category:
Homestyle Chili:

* $1,000 Grand Prize
* $500 – 2nd
* $250 – 3rd

Salsa:

* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd
* $100 – 3rd

People’s Choice:

* $250

Best Booth:

* $250

Racetrack guests are encouraged to sample the chili and vote for their favorite to be crowned People’s Choice champion.  The fan favorite cook will walk away with the $250 prize.  Fan voting begins 7 pm; voting tickets will be available in the chili cook off area.

Fans can enjoy live harness racing with first race post time at 6:20 pm.
