Calling All Cooks for the Meadowlands 2026 Winter Chili Cook-Off

The cold temperatures are here, and nothing warms you up better than a hearty bowl of chili, so it is the perfect time for the Meadowlands Racetrack’s annual Winter Chili Cook-Off!

Our Saturday, January 17 Chili Cook-off is open to cooks of all ages and has over $3,000 up for grabs in this year’s competition:

Homestyle Chili:
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

Red Chili:
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

People’s Choice Chili:
* $250 Grand Prize

Best Booth:
* $250 Grand Prize

Salsa: (must be home-made, no store-bought salsa allowed)
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250- 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

Racetrack guests can join the lively atmosphere by sampling delicious chili and voting for their favorite to win the People’s Choice title, with a $250 prize! Voting begins at 7 pm.

Plus, enjoy live harness racing with the first race starting at 6:20 pm.
