April Happenings at the Meadowlands Racetrack

The Meadowlands Racetrack has an event filled April in addition to racing that takes place every Friday and Saturday night with a 6:20pm post.

Saturday, April 6 is an action packed night at the track. Peter Grandich kicks the night off with his sponsored hockey night. He is bringing NY Rangers great Ron Greschner, two-time Stanley Cup champion Grant Marshall and Philadelphia Flyers fan favorite Chris Therien who will be signing autographs and posing for selfies in the Clubhouse Lobby 5:30-6:30pm.

Also on that Saturday, Executive Chef Chris Burnett is hosting “Dinner in the Dark.” This unique dining experience allows guests to fully immerse themselves and their taste buds in each course by being blindfolded when first served. Each course is paired by a hand-selected wine to enhance the meal. This special dinner is just $69.95 and includes a live racing program and $10 betting voucher. Call 201-TheBigM for reservations.


The rescheduled $5K Handicapping Contest also takes place on April 6. There is no entry fee ($100 live money bankroll required) for players and the prize pool is a guaranteed $5,000 – fully funded by the Meadowlands Racetrack. Players must register/check-in at the Clubhouse Lobby by 6:20 p.m. A $100 betting card is required to participate in this live money/wagering contest. On Saturday, April 13th the popular PastMasters return to the track. Show starts at 7pm in Trackside and admission is free.

Also on April 13th, UFC fans can come out and meet UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards. Fans can grab a selfie 8-9:45pm in the Gallery before UFC 300. Details coming soon at https://playmeadowlands.com/handicapping/fanduel/


New for 2024 is the Misfit Market on Saturday, April 20. Misfit Market will be a super cool sublime shopping experience featuring Sports Collectibles, Comic Books, Vintage Clothes, Toys, Sneakers, Pop Culture, Collectibles, and much more. Plus tons of different activities as well, including live ISPW Pro Wrestling matches and meet and greets with UFC legend Don Frye, NY Giants Super Bowl champ Stephen Baker, and former NY Rangers Nick Fotiu and Matthew Barnaby. The track closes out the month with a fusion pairing dinner and another Comedy Night on Saturday, April 27. The 5-course Nikkei dinner consists of Peruvian ingredients prepared with Japanese techniques. The dinner is $69.95 and includes a live racing program and $10 betting voucher. • Course 1: Ceviche Nikkei – Fresh seafood, lime juice and aji pepper. Paired with Pilsen Peruvian Beer
• Course 2: Trio of Causas Rolls: Paired with Kirin Light Japanese Beer
o Grilled Octopus with Chili Aji Panca Sauce & Chimichurri
o Crab Meat with Acevichada Sauce
o Shrimp in Oyster Sauce
• Course 3: Char Siu Pork – Japanese BBQ pork with fried rice and pickled radish. Paired with Sapporo Japanese Beer
• Course 4: Miso Salmon – Salmon in miso sauce with roasted avocado and golden potatoes. Paired with Cusquena Peruvian Beer
• Course 5: Lucuma Pecan Cheesecake – Lucuma is a Peruvian fruit with caramel/maple syrup flavors. Paired with Cristal Peruvian Beer
