Annual Meadowlands Racetrack Beerfest Just Days Away

On Saturday, May 6 Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment hosts its Annual Racetrack Beer Fest.  Doors open for VIP at 4:00 pm with General Admission at 5:00 pm and beer is poured until 9:00pm. It is an evening of great craft beer and horse racing.

The Beer Fest will be held in the Backyard. The VIP ticket is $65 and includes an additional 1 hour of sampling, exclusive VIP beer samplings, and BBQ favorites.  General Admission begins at 5:00 pm and is available in advance for $45 or at the door for $50.  Live harness racing will commence at 6:20pm and the Kentucky Derby’s post time is 6:57pm

Sixty-five breweries, hard seltzer producers and cideries will be highlighted including a number of local New Jersey brewers.   NJ favorites Bolero Snort, Ghost Hawk, Ashton, Bonesaw Brewing, 902 Brewing Company, About The Hops, Gearblock Brewing Company, Ross Brewing, Montclair Brewery, Alementary, Angry Erik, Broad street Seltzers, United Brewing Seven Tribesmen, Flying Fish, Jersey Girl and Cricket Hill will all be poured at the festival.

A variety of hard seltzers from Broad Street, Smirnoff Seltzer, Fisher’s Island, Lone River Ranch Water and Victory Waves will also have a variety of samplings.

Ciders from Doc’s Hard Cider, Citizen Cider, Jack’s Hard Cider and Artifact will also be available for a little change of pace.

Other featured breweries include: Montauk Elysian Brewery, Golden Road, Kona, Flagship, Deschutes, Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, New Belgium, Boulevard, Ithaca, Harpoon, Captain Lawrence, Firestone Walker, Southern Tier, UFO, Evil Genius, Great Lakes, Well Being, Blue Point, Goose Island, Bronx, New Trail, Industrial Arts, Toppling Goliath, Anderson Valley, Bira91, Sweetwater, Ommegang, Samuel Smith’s Ayinger, Lindemans, Guiness and Warsteiner.

There are also a selection of brews only available to VIP ticket holders.  Some standouts include Ommegang Dream Patch, Brooklyn Black Ops, Boulevard Whiskey Barrel Stout, Cisco Whale’s Tale, Goose Island Beer Hug Secret, Ghost Hawk Good Boy Stout, Ashton Brewing’s Fraxinus Barley Wine: Mezcal
