AMERICAN DREAM & HAMBLETONIAN SOCIETY HOST FAN EXPERIENCE

EVENT PREVIEWING THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS RACE IN HARNESS RACING

 

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., JULY 30th, 2022 – American Dream and the Hambletonian Society are teaming up to host a Harness Racing Fan Experience event at the entertainment/retail center on July 30th from 1-3pm.  The Fan Experience will preview the upcoming races and highlight some of the biggest moments in harness racing, experience the thrill of driving a harness horse with a virtual reality racing experience, showcase trophies and memorabilia, winning Hambletonian drivers, and a family-friendly pony to interact with fans.

Saturday’s event kicks off a week of horse racing and other exciting events at the Meadowlands Racetrack.  Elimination races and a seafood festival start on Saturday night at 5pm following the Fan Experience at American Dream. Harness Racing’s greatest day, the $1 million 97th Hambletonian, is on August 6th featuring a food truck festival, live music, carnival rides and the ‘Hambo Hat Contest.’

A list of the Fan Experiences being offered at American Dream by the Hambletonian Society are below:

  • Meet and greet Hambo Pony
  • Get a picture taken with the iconic Hambletonian trophy
  • Meet the first driver to ever win a Hambletonian at The Meadowlands, Ray Remmen and get an autograph from the winningest Hambletonian driver of all time, John Campbell, who has won six Hambletonians and $300 million in purses
  • Meet Hambo Tony, the official mascot of the race
  • Pick up passes to Hambletonian Day at The Meadowlands on Saturday, August 6
  • Experience the thrill of driving a harness horse with a virtual reality racing experience
  • Free posters and other Hambletonian souvenirs
