Nominating 2YOs to Meadowlands 2026 Early Closers and Stallions for Foals of 2025
NEW FOR 2026
DUE BY FEBRUARY 15: Any horse by a sire who is listed as eligible MUST make a one-time $400 Meadowlands EC Participation payment by February 15, 2026 to gain the option of nominating to Meadowlands 2YO Early Closers for the 2026 season and continuing for the life of the horse.
Only those 2-year-olds who have made the one-time $400 Meadowlands EC Participation payment by February 15, 2026 will be permitted to race in the 2-year-old baby races and eligible for nomination to Meadowlands Early Closers in subsequent seasons for the life of the horse.
The entire series of nominating and sustaining payments must then be made for the horse to be eligible to race in the chosen races.
Nomination and sustaining payments on Meadowlands Early Closers for 2YOs will be pushed back to begin on March 15 and adjusted accordingly.
This proposal will be reconsidered for future seasons, and revision is possible.
