Live Harness Racing Back at the Meadowlands

Breeders Crown eliminations at the Meadowlands Racetrack take place this Friday, October 18, and Saturday, October 19. Friday will see three $25,000 eliminations for 2-year-old filly trotters and two $25,000 eliminations for the 2-year-old male trotters, 2-year-old male pacers and 2-year-old filly pacers. The race card starts at a special post time of 12:30 pm, with the final Monmouth Park at Meadowlands turf card following at 7 pm.

The post-position draw for the four two-year-old finals, and the open trot and mare trot will take place in the track’s 2^nd floor Gallery at 6:15 pm. All horsemen are encouraged to attend.

Also on Friday night is a meet and greet with NY Yankees World Series hero Jim Leyritz – with a special Q&A moderated by NY

Times bestselling author Todd Ehrlich.  Leyritz will provide career highlights, speak about the current Yankees and their playoff

chances, and take questions from the audience. The event runs from 7-8:30 pm in the 2nd-floor Lounge. Guests will also receive copies

of Ehrlich’s 20 Greatest Moments in New York Sports History: Our Generation of Memories, From 1960 to Today, and be entered into

a drawing to Win autographed Leyritz baseballs.

Saturday’s race card features a single $25,000 Mare Pace elimination and two $25,000 eliminations each for 3-year-old male pacers, 3-year-old filly pacers, 3-year-old male trotters, 3-year-old filly trotters, and older male pacers. The post time is 6:20 pm.

The Breeders Crown Finals will be held on two nights, October 25 and 26th, and will feature great promotions, including a $10,000 Handicapping Contest.
