Calling All Cooks for the Meadowlands 2025 Winter Chili Cook-Off

Do you believe you have the ultimate chili recipe? Here’s your chance to showcase it at the Meadowlands Racetrack’s annual Winter Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, February 1.

Over $3,000 is up for grabs in this year’s competition:

Homestyle Chili:
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

Red Chili:
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250 – 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

People’s Choice Chili:
* $250 Grand Prize

Best Booth:
* $250 Grand Prize

Salsa: (must be home-made no store bought salsa allowed)
* $500 Grand Prize
* $250- 2nd place
* $100 – 3rd place

As of January 15, 10 chili heads have signed up in the traditional red chili category, with 14 competing for the $500 home-style chili grand prize and 10 vying for the $500 salsa prize.

Racetrack guests can also be part of the excitement by sampling tasty chili and voting for their favorite to earn the title of People’s Choice champion, with a $250 prize! Voting kicks off at 7 pm.

Plus, enjoy live harness racing with the first race starting at 6:20 pm.
