For every horse that makes it into the Horseplay car, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will donate $5 to the designated monthly charity as well as to the Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Porgram.

Official Rules

• To enter the HorsePlay Car Giveaway guests must pick up their free horse at the Players Club Desk or Horseplay table located in front of the Winner’s Circle.
• The horse is free to anyone 18 years or older, limited to one per person.
• HorsePlay entries begin at 5:00 pm and end prior to Race 6. Each horse is numbered to quickly ID the participant.
• Horses are limited to 250 each night and 500 on Saturday, July 13 and Friday, August 2. Once the supply has been exhausted no more horses will be distributed.
• After Race 6, all those that pick up their free horse must come down to the track and line-up on the boardwalk via the East Apron gate. The Toyota will be driven up the track and patrons must throw their horse/s into the open car window.
• Those that made it into the car are entered into a drawing for a $100 voucher. The drawing winner has his or her name entered into the closing night car drawing in addition to winning the $100 betting voucher.
• There is one $100 betting voucher winner each night.
• For every horse that makes it into the Horseplay car, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment donates $5 to the designated monthly charity. The May donation recipient is Special Strides, the June donation recipient is For the Love of Standardbreds and the July/August donation recipient is Creature Comfort Pet Therapy.
• An additional $5 for every horse that makes it into the car will also be donated to the Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program.
• After the horse toss, children are allowed on the track to collect all the horses that didn’t make it into the car. Children can then receive a free ice cream from The Café.
• The Final drawing for the Toyota is Friday, August 2 after Race 6.
• The nightly winners must be present to be eligible for the Final drawing. Ten names will be selected during the Final Drawing – 1^st –5th name receives $100 betting voucher; 6th name receives $200 betting voucher, 7^th name receives $250 betting voucher, 8^th name receives $300 voucher, 9^th name receives $500. The Final name drawn (10^th name) wins the Toyota. Remaining 17 names will receive a $50 betting voucher.
• Toyota MSRP $31,078.00.
• NMR LLC responsible for sales tax and frees related to the delivery of the Toyota.
• Winner must pick up vehicle at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment.
• Taxes – Any valuation of the prize(s) stated awarded in this contest is based on available information provided to Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment from the provider, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner will be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize(s) and paying any expenses associated with any prize which are not specifically provided for in the official rules. Each winner must provide the Company with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from the Company will receive an appropriate IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
• Must have a valid photo ID
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be present to win or designate a family representative on the night of the final drawing. All winner/representatives in the Final Drawing must be present on Friday, August 2, 2024. All must check-in at the Players Club Desk prior to 8 pm the night of the Final drawing.
• The following are ineligible to participate: employees of NMRLLC or any members of their immediate families; Owners, Drivers, Trainers and their agents who currently have horses racing at the Meadowlands Racetrack; employees of Ark, any members of their immediate families; employees of Global Tote or any members of their immediate families, employees of FanDuel, any members of their immediate families.
• NMRLLC management has the right to disqualify any entries
• All of these rules and regulations are subject to the sole interpretation of NMRLLC.
• Any decisions of NMRLLC with respect to all and any of these rules and regulations shall be final and binding on all participants
• Odds on winning the Toyota are 1:27. Odds on winning the betting vouchers are based on the number of entries received and the skill of throwing the horse. All prizes will be awarded regardless of the number of entries. Prizes are not transferrable and no substitution of prizes is permitted. All taxes associated with the receipt or use of any prizes is the sole responsibility of the winner
• Management reserves the right to cancel and/or modify this promotion at anytime.
• Toyota will not be held responsible/liable for any taxes or fees related to the Horseplay Car Giveaway.
