Fun Times at the Track this April

The Meadowlands Racetrack has an event filled April in addition to racing that takes place every Friday and Saturday night with a 6:20pm post.

The track closes out the month with a Nikkei Fusion Pairing Dinner and another Comedy Night on Saturday, April 27.

This edition of Comedy Night @ the Meadowlands is headlined by the very funny Bonnie McFarlane.

McFarlane was dubbed the number one funniest female you should know by The Huffington Post and proved just that in her award-winning comedy documentary “Women Aren’t Funny.” The doc includes a roster of clips and interviews from Joan Rivers, Rosie O’Donnell, Sarah Silverman, Maria Bamford and more. McFarlane can be seen in the acclaimed web series “Cop Show” starring Colin Quinn and Jerry Seinfeld, and has an upcoming scripted comedy series on based on her 2016 memoir, “You’re Better Than Me.” She also co-hosts the popular “My Wife Hates Me” podcast with her husband Rich Vos.

Comedy Night @ Meadowlands is produced and hosted by HeavySetComedy’s Travis Przybylski (AppleTV+, Netflix, Hulu, Kill Tony, HBO, NBC, CBS and Rory Lutz (Last Stop Comedy, I Am Not a Robot Podcast.) Heavyset Comedy has over 9 years combined experience producing and performing standup in the NYC comedy scene.
They’ll be joined by Alexis Bradby (ABC, Paramount+), Rob O’Toole, Christy Miller (“Brutally Yours” on Apple Music and Spotify and Ibrahim Khalif (“Placebo” on Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify)

Doors open at 7pm with the show kicking off at 8pm. Full bar and waitress service available.

The 5-course Nikkei Fusion Pairing Dinner on Saturday, April 27, consists of Peruvian ingredients prepared with Japanese techniques. The dinner is $69.95 and includes a live racing program and $10 betting voucher. Call 201-TheBigM for reservations.

The menu includes:

• Course 1: Ceviche Nikkei – Fresh seafood, lime juice and aji pepper. Paired with Pilsen Peruvian Beer
• Course 2: Trio of Causas Rolls: Paired with Kirin Light Japanese Beer
  • Grilled Octopus with Chili Aji Panca Sauce & Chimichurri
  • Crab Meat with Acevichada Sauce
  • Shrimp in Oyster Sauce
•  Course 3: Char Siu Pork – Japanese BBQ pork with fried rice and pickled radish. Paired with Sapporo Japanese Beer
• Course 4: Miso Salmon – Salmon in miso sauce with roasted avocado and golden potatoes. Paired with Cusquena Peruvian Beer
• Course 5: Lucuma Pecan Cheesecake – Lucuma is a Peruvian fruit with caramel/maple syrup flavors. Paired with Cristal Peruvian Beer
