Ken Warkentin Selections for Thursday, December 7

RACE 1
6-Say You Do – Beaten favorite committed to a late lead & flattened out fourth three weeks ago, 8YO clearly needed that first start for his new barn & owns a bit of back class
9-Hardrockcafe – Liked the way this 3YO rallied with late trot to hit the board @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, moves outside, yet gets some class relief
1-Shinkansen – Sat a three-hole angled for a late bid & faded to fourth & draws inside again to take another shot at this reduced level
RACE 2
3-Sweet N Fast N – Took three starts to score an overdue win @ Freehold for his new barn, 9YO draws well for more of his form & back class to resurface
8-Transfer The Era – Flashed some late life for minor spoils in his Big M debut, tougher post here, but that was a solid acclimating mile to build on
5-Risky Million – Slow start from post ten & lagged far behind in a needed comeback in the slop & now draws better to show improvement in a wide-open field
RACE 3
7-Queen Sun Ryser – Ships in fresh off a sharp narrow loss @ Freehold while coming off a sick scratch, her best effort since switching to Edwin Quevedo
3-Suge – Has acclimated to The Big M with a pair of thirds, just missed two starts back & lands post three again to set up another stalking trip
2-Virtual Kiss – Just one for 16 this season, yet she returns to the scene of that lone tally back in late October & draws well to contend
RACE 4
1-Yaya’s Hot Spot N – Parlayed a big wake up win into an eye-catching narrow loss out of shuffle & this sharp 13YO looms large from the rail
7-Kissinbythebeaches – Regrouped with a solid qualifier, then locked wheels in the first turn & closed a ton of ground in the slop to hit the ticket
3-TKO Blue Chip – Forced wide from a tough spot & stormed home to grab the deuce in a terrific acclimating mile & draws an improved post
RACE 5
5-Newell Place – After a troubled start she launched a wide late bid to hit the board again last week & this consistent mare draws better
7-Buzz – Ships in fresh off back-to-back perfect trip wins @ Vernon Downs & looks like he can leave well off the wings to continue his positive trend
3-Explosive Ridge – Productive 9YO stopped as the beaten favorite @ Plainridge, yet lands in a real soft here to rebound
RACE 6
2-Slick N Quick – Vernon Downs-based 3YO ships in fresh off a sharp rally for second & draws inside a wide-open field here to follow up on that positive move
3-Always A Force – 10YO launches his comeback from a long layoff off a solid qualifier, lands an inside post, retains Braxten Boyd & has a history of success @ The Big M
5-Kicks Like A Mule – Lightly-raced 3YO finally broke through for his first lifetime win, going all the way @ Vernon Downs two starts back & that kind of mile might be enough here
RACE 7
7-Phelgon – The key was Patrick Ryder left the gate & capitalized on a perfect trip for an overdue win, tougher post here, but she loves the Big M
6-One More Try – She’s back at the Big M on a form spree @ Vernon Downs & fresh off an upset there & appreciates the long stretch here
2-Pull Me Through – One would need an Ouija Board to come up with her stunning score in the slop last Friday, she draws post two again to prove that was no fluke
RACE 8
1-Allindotime – Moves inside while on a nice roll, fresh off a strong second last Friday, he’s in line to trip out in a dartboard field
9-Match My Miracle – 7YO has suddenly come to life, arrives off two straight blowouts @ Vernon Downs & expecting a blastoff from post nine here
3-J-S Jasper – Saratoga shipper with a lot of seconds this season, has shown better form in his last two & draws well to set up a stalking strategy
RACE 9
5-Samosa Hanover – Just two for 39 this season, but hammering away recently @ Vernon Downs & has to be a deserving contender here with her relentless style
8-Lazin On The Beach – Marched right out to dictate the terms & almost went all the way from post eight last Friday & this filly rates highly in current form
2-P L Portia – Surprised more than a few with her sudden take-no-prisoners upset fresh off the bench & newcomer Ryan Inglis is rewarded with an improved post
RACE 10
1-Classic Express – Was done in by outside posts & tougher foes in his last two @ Vernon Downs, yet the wire-to-wire win before that spells hope
2-Milliondollardream – Followed up back-to-back blowouts @ Saratoga with breaks in two consecutive starts, yet has a big chance to rebound in this real soft spot
4-Stormy Wings – Makes his 2023 debut after more than a year off, his Big M qualifier was adequate & perhaps he’ll find more stamina with an inside draw
