DESCRIPTION:Our 5th Annual Sportscasters Charity Derby features two harness races to benefit charitable organizations selected by famous sportscasters. Each sportscaster will be teamed up with a Meadowlands driver in a jog cart and will compete against other sportscasters in a field of 4 for a one-mile race. SUMMARY:2024 Charity Handicapping Contest
DESCRIPTION:Ten local New Jersey charitable organizations have been selected to compete in the Meadowlands Charity Handicapping Contest on Saturday\, May 25th.   The Contest offers a $15\,000 total donation/prize pool\, with every charity receiving a donation. Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st Place: $5\,000\, 2nd Place: $3\,000\, 3rd Place: $2\,000\, 4th Place: $1\,500\, 5th Place: $1\,000\, 6th-10th: $500. \nParticipating organizations will also have the opportunity to make winner’s circle presentations and be featured on the track’s jumbotron. \nInterested not-for-profit organizations must apply to participate by emailing Rachel Ryan at raryan@playmeadowlands.com by Thursday\, May 16th.   The email must include:\n1. Charity/Non-Profit Name\n2. 501C3 letter\n3. Charity/Non-Profit Mission\n4. Website URL & Social Links\n5. Charity Representative/s that will be onsite for the contest on May 25th. \nIf more than ten organizations apply\, ten will be selected via a random drawing. Homestyle: 4-7pm; Verde 5-8pm\nGarnishes must not be used on what is turned into the Judges.\nPlease remember to bring all your cooking equipment. If you are using a propane camper’s stove you need to bring a class K extinguisher.\nWe do have sinks\, garbage cans for everyone to use.
