RACE 1

10-South Beach Star – 1:48.1 winner here back on June 5 makes his second start off a sick scratch after landing on the fringe fourth in his Adios elimination, post ten is no picnic, but this Brett Pelling pupil has an allstar pedigree & big engine

2-Always B Sweet – Rebounded off a recent sick scratch with back-to-back wins, including a new mark of 1:50.1, Pirate Hanover got the jump on him last time, look for more aggressive handling from an inside post

7-Pirate Hanover – The Pirate has been trading blows with Always B Sweet, the Team Alagna trainee crushed it in a career best of 1:50.3 last out, now the post is more demanding, but this is a 3YO with plenty of upside

RACE 2

4-Fire Start Hanover – Dan Patch Award winner avenged her gutsy loss in the Mistletoe Shalee with a lively score in the Tompkins-Geers & took a new mark of 1:49, Nifty Norman trainee stands out in this affair

1-Off The Record – 1:51 winner here this season has stepped into the deeper stakes waters admirably, her latest a solid third to Fire Start Hanover, has a chance to ride the rail, stalk the speed & play opportunist

5-Mikala – PASS winner in 1:50.1 @ The Meadows sparked a three-race winning streak before she faltered & finished seventh in her most recent, she’s had a couple of weeks to bounce back for the potent team of Brennan & Drennan

RACE 3

5-Dancinginthedark M – Was #1 in the Road to Hambo Top Ten before his unfortunate elimination miscue, was very impressive before that & looks to rebound in a pretty competitive match up for Team Melander

4-Jujubee – Dominant figure in PASS has piled up nine wins this season, son of Creatine ships in

fresh off a new mark of 1:53.1, draws well & gets to stretch out on the mile track

3-Whiskey Blu – Another PA shipper has been very productive for Team Burke, winning 12 times after being unraced in 2020, gelding has graduated to stakes company & arrives brimming with confidence from an inside post

RACE 4

3-Poseidon Seelster – 1:47.4 performer at The Big M this season came to life & just missed with a perfect trip in the Graduate Final in 1:47.1 over a sloppy track, back here with an inside post after a no-chance mile in the Gerrity

7-Brassy Hanover – Just one for 12 this season, but note the huge rally from tenth to hit the board in his Haughton division, pace compromised last week, has a chance at a price if the fractions & trip set up right

6-Tattoo Artist – 1:48 winner here back on June 12 was stuffed in a slight shuffle & angled late with plenty in :26.2 last week, nice bounce-back mile & this seems like a more suitable scenario for this Chris Ryder trainee

RACE 5

2-Rockyroad Hanover – Bad luck, yet improving son of The Captain got run into when setting up a rally in the Pace, rock solid runner up in both his elimination & final of the Adios, now draws inside to set up an ideal stalking trip for Team Alagna.

4-Perfect Sting – Undefeated 10-for-10 Dan Patch Award winning freshman thwarted by early season sickness has regained form, bumped up to second with a gallant effort in the Pace, parlayed a “cheeseburger deluxe” second over trip to tune up for this last week & has a big chance to shine on the biggest stage today.

7-American Courage – Impressive Messenger winner had no chance from post ten in the Pace, took a couple of weeks off, added Lasix & cruised in a qualifier here, likely blasts off to take control & might be dangerous if he can rate the pace.

RACE 6

4-Lyons Sentinel – Set a short-lived world record of 1:48 in the Artiscape, no chance from post ten in the Dorothy Haughton, tied former stablemate Shartin N’s track record in the Clara Barton & draws well to dominate back here

1-JK First Lady – Was able to trip out & get the jump on Lyons Sentinel in a world record of 1:47.4 in the Dorothy Haughton, flashed wicked speed & stopped in the Clara Barton, so needs a big rebound effort from the rail for Team Takter

2-Rocknificent – Has been rock solid since late June when she took a mark of 1:49.1, runner up in the Dorothy Haughton & Clara Barton draws inside & will be prominently placed

RACE 7

4-Joviality S – Connections won this in 2019 with Hypnotic AM, first foal out of 2017 Dr. Steel winner Pasithea Face S was a handy winner of the elimination, draws a better post & continues to tap her potential for a marquee match up

6-Venerable – From the great first crop of world champion Walner, a perfect three-for-three in NJSS, impressive 1:52.2 romp that final, accepted the bye & fresh from a three-week layoff for five-time Doherty winner Dave Miller

7-Jiggy Jog S – Another from the first crop of Walner, who sends out half the field, solid runner up in her last three, including the NJSS Final & the elimination, post is tougher, but has license to improve, Gingras’ three wins in this event came with Mission Brief, Arianna G & Manchego

RACE 8

6-Chaptiama – Just missed in the Yonkers Open two starts back, lightly-raced 4YO found his best stride & was terrific here in June when he took a mark of 1:51.3, reunited with Dexter Dunn & owns a vicious late kick

8-Guardian Angel AS – Classy 7YO is 0 for four here on Hambo Day, a close third in 2019 Cashman, just missed in the Cutler back on May 15, two months off, added Lasix & qualified with zeal, stuck outside, tough to gauge

1-Angel Nation – 4YO gelding has come to life in PA & arrives after reeling off four in a row for Team Orange Crush, took a new mark of 1:52.1 in his latest, lands the rail for a quick getaway & Tyler Miller could surprise them

RACE 9

2-Letsdoit S – Brian Sears blew up the toteboard in this last year with Zenith Stride @ 87-1, son of 2014 Hambo runner up & $3.6 million winner Nuncio was an eye-catching Kindergarten debut winner, then grinded gamely last week & draws post two again for Team Melander

5-King Of The North – First crop of Walner colt out of world champion Check Me Out has been flawless so far, was able to rate & cruise in his elimination, rallied to dominate the NJSS Final in 1:52.4, versatile colt continues on a positive trend

1-Robertsin – Muscle Hill colt was flashing hints of talent before suddenly taking charge as the betting favorite & held off Letsdoit S for his first win in 1:54.4, now Brennan & Drennan can make a similar attempt from the rail

RACE 10

5-Catch The Fire – Liked him last week when he was hammered down to 3-2 favorite, and held on under intense pressure in 1:48.1, this 4YO by The Captain with a mark of 1:47.3 @ Scioto Downs has proven to be the real deal & the table could be set perfectly for a repeat.

8-Nicholas Beach – 1:47.2 performer here this season & Commodore Barry winner rebounded big time from a hoof issue that scratched him out of the Gerrity, Team Bongiorno were hoping to have him in his normal shoes today, fully expect a blast off & full throttle down the road attempt.

1-American History – Millionaire Alagna trainee has sub 1:48 marks in three seasons, regained his winning edge scoring back-to-back, while uncorking amazing fractions from post eight last week, moves inside to rev it up again, yet might have some company.

RACE 11

3-Manchego – This great triple millionaire & fastest trotting mare of all time is quite simply a winning machine, five for six this season & three for four on Hambo Day, fresh off a Spirit of Mass repeat & Big M track record equaling 1:49.4 before that, doing great according to Nancy Takter & draws inside again for Dexter Dunn.

6-Ready For Moni – 2020 Hambo runner up a perfect five-for-five on the board this season, took a mark of 1:50.3 in the slop working out a perfect trip upset from post eight in the Graduate Final, beaten favorite with a brutal trip from post 12 in the Hambo Maturity, big chance to rebound & give Team Takter a 1-2 finish.

1-Forbidden Trade – The 2019 Hambletonian upsetter was a bit short, finishing fourth in the Spirit of Mass after missing a few weeks, posted an impressive upset rally in the Crawford Farms & took a new mark of 1:51.1, now a serious threat making his second start off the bench from the rail.

RACE 12

5-Captain Barbossa – This Captain rebounded from a one for 19 sophomore season to set a track record of 1:47.1 in a Graduate division back on June 5, his recent story has been one of tough trips, badly shuffled, repeatedly blocked & raging late last week, due for some luck & has a chance to upset if things set up right.

1-Cattlewash – Fastest performer of 2020 with a world record of 1:46.4 has regained top form for Team Burke, hard-charging 1:47.1 upsetter in the Graduate Final, came right back to hold off Shake that House in a 1:47.3 Haughton division, draws inside his stablemate This Is The Plan & logically looms large from the rail.

3-Allywag Hanover – Has enjoyed a very productive 4YO season & comes into this in fine form, that was some Haughton division upset in a career best of 1:47.1 with vicious pace at the both ends of that mile & he just missed from post seven last week, the Brett Pelling trainee is a dangerous opportunist from an improved post.

RACE 13

5-Atlanta – Classy trotting track record holder & highly decorated Team Burke trainee couldn’t quite get there after a slow start from post 12 in the Hambo Maturity, came roaring out in her first two starts this season & still a fresh threat

6-When Dovescry – One of three Oaks champions in here flashed her usual speed & tripped out to edge Atlanta last week, this Brett Pelling trainee has always been consistent & dangerous when able to steal some fractions

4-Hypnotic AM – Millionaire has just one Graduate division win in 1:50.2 this season, but she been very persistent for Team Melander, hasn’t raced in three weeks since a solid second in the Hambo Maturity, a prime stalking opportunist with a big late kick

RACE 14

5-Bella Bellini – Homebred from the first crop of Bar Hopping has come back virtually flawless as a 3YO, Nifty Norman, who goes for his third Oaks, said it’s shocking how much she’s improved from two to three & she’s got a fantastic attitude and high speed, fresh off a game grind when she was pace compromised in her elimination & Nifty thinks she’ll be a lot better this week.

4-Lady Chaos – Hall of Fame trainer Linda Toscano switched her to a blind bridle, Hall of Famer Dave Miller stole a :57 half, and this Cantab Hall filly dug in to fend off Bella Bellini with a new mark of 1:52.4, Toscano calls her an absolute pleasure to train from Day One and beautifully gaited, she also has speed and consistency in her corner.

3-Awesome Trix – This $13,000 bargain yearling by Trixton capitalized on a slick, ground-saving drive by Scott Zeron to pull her 24-1 elimination upset from post nine, she had also finished well to hit the board in the Tompkins-Geers, brimming with confidence off a career best of 1:52.4 this tough filly is still getting better.

RACE 15

1-Delayed Hanover – This colt from the first crop of 2016 Hambo runner up Southwind Frank saw his career delayed by injury at two, has come back solid this season for Team Svanstedt, shook loose with loads of late trot to win his elimination in a career best of 1:51.1, lands the rail, certainly peaking at the right time & Yannick Gingras could get that elusive first Hambo.

4-Captain Corey – PASS champion as a freshman when he compiled a terrific campaign, this son of world champion Googoo Gaagaa showed them who’s boss with a wire-to-wire career best elimination of 1:51.2, Ake Svanstedt said it was the old Corey again, he also explained the colt has grown a lot since the spring, now has a longer stride and is getting sharper with only four starts this season.

7-Really Fast – Unraced as a two year old, this $700,000 yearling by Muscle Hill has come a long way in a short time, from NJSS champion, to Grand Circuit winner, then grinded out a solid second to Captain Corey, leading the Team Takter trio this colt has speed & talent untapped, and was Dexter Dunn’s choice over Delayed Hanover.

RACE 16

2-Sombodyitreasure – Wired similar @ Pocono in a career best of 1:49.3 three starts back, chased American History with a :25.4 last out, gets further class relief & draws better for Team Bongiorno in a wide-open Hambo Day finale

5-Heza Real Diamond – 1:48.1 performer here this season has been in a recent slump, but note how came to life chasing Seriously Hanover in his third start since a sick scratch, remains at this reduced level & draws better

6-Seriously Hanover – Took advantage of some class relief, brushed to the front, opened up in :27.3, bobbled at the top of the stretch & came back on to romp in 1:49.3, talented 4YO can step back up in class, but needs to hold it together
