1 HILLARMBRO Put the hopples back on for second qualifier and scooted around the track successfully in pretty fast time. Has the rail in a pretty power-packed field, but if she trots, watch out. Loved it here last year and should be ready.
2 GLITZEY GAL Not the quickest of starters, but she packs a pretty solid burst of speed at any point. The improved post will keep her in the hunt early and tonight we find out if she's true stakes quality. The big test for class. Dave Miller back on board.
3 ZETTE MINX Aiming a bit high here against legitimate stakes company. A lot to prove and I will pass for tonight.
4 FEED YOUR HEAD Surprisingly shows only one qualifier to get ready and that does worry me a bit. It was a strong effort, however and I have no reason to doubt Takter's prowess when it comes to getting one ready. Trainer: Qualified very good.
5 CHECKMATE TIME Not really sure what to expect here, because it seems like all or nothing. That 53 win in seasonal debut was beyond belief good. The follow up, not so much. Take a good, long look at her warming up, and scoring down with JC. Trainer: Very pleased with the way she trained, add the hopples.
6 EVELYN Also shows only one slowish qualifier and a three-week gap since. That doesn't inspire confidence right now.
7 ROMANCING RACHEL Zipped around Freehold in the Lady Suffolk and showed some solid efforts here before that. I can easily forgive the hot pace race on 4/21. Tonight's problem is the post, and Yannick opting to #4. That's very telling.

1 DEO GALILEO Prepped for his sophomore season down in Florida. Returned to home base late last month and promptly broke in first start back. That is not a good thing! Had plenty of speed last year, but watch carefully for a safe start. That's goal.
2 FOUNDMYTREASURE Doesn't seem to be quite ready for a test at this level. Hasn't shown much yet. Pass.
3 INDIAN RIVER ACE Debuts tonight in a rather tough stakes spot. That looks like a decent qualifier down at Rosecroft, but since I didn't see it, I don't know. Will clearly have to go a lot faster to threaten these and I need to see it first.
4 EVERY WAY OUT Talk about speed! A winner last year at two in 1:51 at Tioga! Now that's a mile! Hopefully, whatever was wrong in the first qualifier at Philly was fixed. Came back with a strong mile after that. He looks ready and should roll here.
5 PRAIRIE MCDREAMY Barn's other starter is a bit hard to figure. Made a break at Philly in first try and came back NEXT DAY at home base with a much improved effort. Campbell was careful with him in the qualifier here. Needs more experience?
6 FIREFOX HANOVER Picked up two checks at long odds in some very strong races here. Can't say I like the line from Philly, even though he was impeded. Tonight's problem is the post. Won't be easy to make up ground once #4 gets rolling. Your call?

1 IMPACTER Appears to be a much stronger version so far at age three. Solid Pocono qualifier and then even better start in the slop against maidens. How good is he? I guess we're going to find out. If you want a price in short field, maybe this guy?
2 YES MICKEY Barn's other starter has been sharp since the hopples went on. Lost a heartbreaker to the front-running fave two weeks ago, but it was still strong effort. Figures to fire out here, along with his stablemate. They "may" try to control this one.
3 FLY ON Was okay in the first qualifier back and then regressed with a miscue for no visible reason. Andy will simply try to make sure he stays trotting tonight. That is the main goal. Trainer: First start of year, added hopples, so hope he minds his manners.
4 SOUTHWIND WOODY Made a break in the Dexter at Freehold, so that's a knock. Came back with much stronger mile here when overmatched last week. That was field of older, experienced trotters. Loses Yannick to stablemate. Grinds into it here.
5 LONG TOM Enjoyed a very solid freshman season with three wins. Didn't quite finish it off with those breaks, but that's okay. I like what I saw in the qualifier two weeks ago. He had plenty of trot. Anything like that Lex race puts him in the hunt! Trainer: I have been very happy with both of his qualifiers and he's been training good since. This is a very good horse, I expect a good effort.
6 DEACON TONY Really strong so far for Burke Brigade. Set a slow pace last week, but was digging in right to the wire against a superior foe. This spot might be a touch easier and we know Yannick will point him to the front. The one to catch for sure.

1 BJANTHONY Draws the rail again, but against a softer group tonight. Final time last week was faster than most of these can go. Not a real quick starter, so it's up to Lee to keep him close enough. Barn on a roll right now too! Lots to like. What price?
2 REAL DJ HANOVER Took advantage of a very soft spot last week and promptly wired the field. Driver does have a win this year from only four appearances. Might be able to step around #1 leaving and take it from there. Must go a tad faster tonight.
3 KEYSTONE THOMAS Lost a heartbreaker in that blanket photo finish last week, but really had no excuses. The trip and drive were perfect. Horse just lacked that last lunge to finish it off. Certainly has speed to be in position again. Very usable.
4 LANDONFITZ Gets some much needed post relief and that alone will help! If you handicap a hot pace in here somehow, then you must use this fella. Hoping for just a bit better trip in the flow and he can finish. It's all about pace and trip here.
5 TOSS CARTWRIGHT Kind of the same boat as #4. Had no shot from post 10 last time, so just forget about that. This post is ideal and he seems versatile enough to do it either way. Figures to offer value and I would expect to see a bit more tonight.
6 HERE COMES NUMBERS Didn't look particularly ready in either the qualifier or first start back off a long layoff. Pass again.
7 PINE TAB That hateful overall record played a role in losing that photo last week. But, with that said, one more inch of racetrack and the horse would have won. What will Hannah do tonight? Has shown ability to leave. Otherwise, maybe too far back?
8 CHUKKAR Lots of races in a very short span lately and none of them look good enough to win this. Simply not fast enough.
9 MR BUTTERWORTH Moves from pole to post nine, which hurts. Set a very slow pace when last seen here and still got passed easily. Not sure I can make a case of finding more mile track stamina. Demand fair value if you fancy.

1 DREAM BABY DREAM Endured a difficult trip in first start as a 3YO. I'm sure Rod didn't want that, but from the rail he can do whatever he wants. This filly does have some serious talent and can be part of this. Trainer: Trained good. Opened her up and put in a different bit. Hard to be parked from the rail.
2 MYAMMIE DRAMA One thing's for sure, this filly is still very green! The talent is there, but she needs to gain more racing experience. Facing a killer tonight in #3 and I wonder if Tetrick will want her on the lead? Might be better from off the pace.
3 ARIANA G Dan Patch champion freshman filly is back and she looked superb in BOTH qualifiers. This is a nice, easy spot to get her legs stretched out, but don't expect much of a price. Will YG grind, or go to front. Trainer: Coming into the race great!
4 HIGHLAND TOP HILL Down from Canada for some stakes events. Had a few good starts last year and a trip over the track at Mohawk. I suspect she'll be more primed and ready here. Would love to "follow" #3 if that trip becomes available. Brett on!
5 ICE ATTRACTION That was a VERY good start last time against a power-packed bunch, including colts. Made the big fave work to hold on. I was very impressed by that. Tonight, she faces another killer and moves to midpack post. Gives a challenge?
6 CAMERON HILL Enjoyed a strong, and long 2YO season for a top trotting man in John Bax. Sailed through easy qualifier up at home base and arrives ready with Campbell now aboard. One of the ones to fear if she uses her speed. Expect it!
7 SOUTHWIND PRIUS Got around Freehold safely twice, but didn't look like a real threat at any point. Moves to much tougher post here, against a stronger field. Not sure I can take a fully positive view from this slot. Will have to prove me wrong, find more.
8 NORTHERN STARLIGHT Sat just off a well-rated pace last time and didn't offer much punch when free. At least she stayed trotting, so that is an improvement. Tonight's task from post eight seems just about impossible. Would have to get lucky.

1 MUSCLE DIAMOND Never had a shot in the Cutler from the second tier, so don't hold that against him. The post relief alone will give Campbell a few more options. Has threatened at this level before. Likely to sit, save ground, try to get lucky late.
2 CRESCENT FASHION It's taken a while to get this guy back to the races and I can't say I liked last week's effort. Don't think he's quite primed and ready for a race like this. Hope for class relief somewhere down the road.
3 JL CRUZE Really raced well in both starts thus far. Seems to have come back strong again for Ell, and keep in mind, his best races tend to come earlier in the year. Showed blast out speed in Cutler, and kept up well late. Trainer: Trained really well this week, looks and feels great. Should give a big effort.
4 B YOYO What's gotten into this horse lately? Unleashed a monster rally last Friday to blow right by some very good horses. That showed me something. Expect Joe B to try for similar trip. If things get heated between #3,7 early, Yoyo comes flying late. Trainer: Strong last two starts, had a good week. Hoping for another solid effort.
5 OPULENT YANKEE No visible excuses last week. Andy had him in the right spot, and he simply lacked the needed finishing kick. What's the plan tonight? He's between the other two speeds. Trainer: A model of consistency so far this season.
6 WINGS OF ROYALTY Here's a real nice trotter too! Just went over $600 lifetime with that sharp effort at Tioga. Simply overpowered them with a brush and crush on a "good" track. Won here last year in 51.4. Want a live price play? This is it.
7 CRAZY WOW Couldn't possibly have raced any better in the Cutler. Was used hard early and dug in the length of the stretch against Resolve. For wagering purposes, how easy do you think he'll get to the lead? If easy, then he will probably win.

1 DANISH DURANGO Up and down the class ladder lately with some solid efforts too! Seems in a bit tougher tonight from a difficult post, plus he's got a partner who might be a touch stronger. I suspect it's all about pace and trip for this veteran.
1A GURAL HANOVER What happened in the Cutler? Was easing up to the gate and went to running for no apparent reason. Very unlike him, so I will just dismiss it. Was regularly beating better than this down at Dover. Other knock is the post. PP9.
2 SWEET JUSTICE Loved this gelding last week and he did everything but win! I can't really make an excuse for him, because he rated well enough. Just didn't get the last 100 yards of mile track stretch. Trainer: Raced well sans hopples. Hope he can advance.
3 STARSABOVEALLERAGE Picture perfect drive from Jimmy last week to produce the sparkling 13-1 upset. Has post two now, but likely won't be stepping around #1. In line for the sit in, save ground, try to get lucky late trip. It worked last week!
4 JUST FOR TODAY Third start back, but clearly aiming a little too high here. I think he's overmatched vs. these.
5 APPOMATTOX Scratched at Yonkers due to a "paperwork" issue. No problem. Won here last month down the road in 52 for Brett Miller looking good. Faced Open types after that, but that was three weeks ago. Is he tight, ready? Miller opted to #7.
6 PRIDECREST Did good work for Scotty D in that series over at Yonkers. Even worked his way up to the Open level and got a check, while no threat. Is he as good on the mile track? That is the question. Timmy T aboard to try him out. Needs speed.
7 FASHION CREDITOR Well-traveled of late with some good efforts. Has a bit of class when things set up the right way. There figures to be some pace in here, with the fave starting in post nine. Only needs to be close to launch that patented, big kick.
8 FAD FINANCE Lone mare in here makes third start back and it's not a very good spot. Just inside of the fave in post eight and I'm not so sure she's ready to deliver her best just yet. I'll be watching closely for future consideration..

1 EL SENOR DEO 0-7 last year at two. Hopples went on for sophomore season and so far, he just doesn't seem fast enough. The rail will keep him close, but I need to see more late before I can endorse.
2 KING ON THE HILL Had two qualifiers to get ready for Team Takter, but he looked short in the first one, and then drifted and tired in the follow up. Yes, it was a 53 mile, so that's a step in right direction. Happy w/last qua. Nice horse, but might need a race.
3 MUSCLE HIGH Nobody was catching Southwind Hydro last week, but this guy wasn't exactly charging hard either! Prior effort was a good and safe one. Hopefully, he's over those breaking problems. Tim might take a shot. Trainer: Green colt learning to race.
4 WHAT THE HILL Delivered a workman-like professional effort to win the comebacker. Dave did get into him late to get by in measured fashion. Almost has to have more in the tank tonight and the post edge on main rivals helps. A lot to like again.
5 NEW JERSEY VIKING Showed some serious talent last year at two. Taking a little while to get going here at three. First qualifier was fair and second only a little bit better. I'm going to take the wait and see approach on this one. Needs to find more speed.
6 SOUTHWIND COBRA Lasix definitely helping this fella. That was good start behind talented colt here two back. Took his shot in the Dexter and simply got overhauled by a better horse. I believe he's better on the big track. Expect to see speed early from YG.
7 SIGNAL HILL Stakes placed for Alagna last year at two, but I wonder how well he's come back this year? First qualifier simply wasn't very good and he was pretty much all in to hold on in the follow up. Trainer: Improved 2nd qua. Looking to build on that in first start with an outside post.

1 SHAQ TO THE RACK Didn't really get rolling until far too late last time, but it was a safe mile, with no breaks. That was mission accomplished. Has the rail now, but I'd love to see a better start. Can't afford those sluggish beginnings in full field.
2 CELEBRITY RUTH Lone filly in here made a miraculous recovery after the miscue at Freehold. And that was WITH the hopples on! Prior effort here against Deacon Tony was a sparkler! She packs one big move in a mile, and will have to time it just right.
3 JACKSON'S GOLD Retains longshot status, after the break at long odds in the comebacker. Hard to endorse here.
4 EASTERN PROMISE No match for a super Hydro last week, but it was still a good, solid effort and continued improvement with no mistakes. Headed in right direction, one to beat. Trainer: Raced well last wk. Colt has speed, but needs to get consistent efforts.
5 LION BRAND Yes, that's a 1-53 record for the five-year-old. Is he fast enough to threaten these. Probably not.
6 SHIVERED Just one qualifier over at Pocono. I always like to see two. I'm guessing tonight's race will serve as his second prep. Mixed feelings about his freshman season. There were glimpses of talent. Going to pass tonight, and tab for later on.
7 SHEER ASSAULT Hopples have come off for this season, but so far, his speed hasn't increased. Flattened out in the late stages of first start back and it will clearly take a lot more than that to get it done. Price play, if you think he's ready to go faster.
8 ANOTHER CHAPTER It's taken Silva a while to get this guy rolling again. Took the Dexter elim with a sparkling stretch kick at Freehold and then he suffered the post eight blues! Trainer: Not familiar with field, but he's pretty nice. Don't think pp8 is an issue.
9 TEXICAN Decent kick in the qualifier here. A bit flat in the Dexter elim won by #8, but his trip was a lot tougher. Does the gelding possess blast out speed? I don't think so. Will need a little luck and a smooth trip to pass the field from the back.

1 DESIGNATED DRINKER Made good money last year at two, with a couple of wins. Had a fair prep start up at Vernon, but is she really ready to pace in 53 or 54? That is the question. Pole position gives her a chance to sit close. Has to find bigger late kick.
2 MAJESTIC DREAMS Hasn't shown a whole lot here recently. I will have to pass on her chances against stakes foes. Trainer: Has more talent than she shows, will be in the better half of these by the final.
3 RINGING OFTHE BELL The post relief alone should give this filly a bigger chance. She really had no chance the way either of those last two races went. They'll serve her well as preps for this. I can make a case for a lot more at a square price for Andy.
4 COLORFUL JASMINE Homebred for Team Cancelliere showed serious speed in a few starts last year. Appears to have come back sharp, based on the romp down at Philly. This is the test for a bit more class, and don't expect 5-1 this time either!
5 CALL ME CAPONE Appears to have come back a much stronger three-year-old for McGinnis. That's an excellent and much improved last start at Tioga, free-legged. Trainer gives Tetrick the call now, so that's big sign of confidence. Must go faster here.
6 WONDERFUL WORLD Went 0-8 last year at two, and so far, she's shown big time early speed, but possibly not mile track stamina. I can't be too thrilled at the Tioga effort where she stopped. Too hot on the bit, maybe? Look for more control here.
7 ARE YOU TERRY Was odds-on in the same Tioga race as #5 and couldn't get close. Still, it was only her second start back and there could be more in the tank here. Dinges gives up the lines to Jimmy and that should aid the cause. A case for more now.
8 STRONGRTHANDASTORM In a new barn now, with recently added Lasix. Lost a bit of ground behind impressive winner in the qualifier. Still a tough take, with those breaks on view, so this will be a watch-and-wait type effort for me. Must stay pacing.
9 LIVINGINTHEDREAM Prepped nicely down in Florida for Erv. Overmatched in first Philly try. Improved a LOT with that brush last week at Tioga and this is what they're pointing for. Note she took mark here last year over sloppy track. Expect more tonight.
10 PAISLEY SKYE Not a whole lot of early zip, and stuck in an impossible spot from post 10. Have to rate her a longshot.
11 MISQUED Not bad last year, but a couple of slowish qualifiers on view and I fear that she's not ready for this yet. 2nd tier.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

1 BACKWOODS BARBIE Certainly a big factor in a wide open race here. Had a very tough trip grinding after a 2-5 front-running winner last week. Still, she didn't exactly stop. There are no Bettor Chill Out's in here. Probably the one to beat from rail.
2 BEAVERCREEK ANNIE Passed a few of the tired ones last week, but in uninspiring fashion. That 0-39 record over two years sticks out badly. Not sure I could use in the top spot, but I would consider for underneath purposes in Jackpot Hi 5.
3 LITTLE MISS MARIE Probably the other main player tonight. Did a fairly good job of keeping up behind the winner last week, since Andy had her in position. Doesn't get Andy tonight, but same solid speed would give her a big chance again.
4 MOJARRA HANOVER 10 warhorse has been here before and won here before. So, in a race like this, that deserves extra consideration. Left Freehold on an improved effort, so I can make a case for even more here. Experience here helps a lot.
5 BRYNN BEAUTIFUL Into new barn and MIA for three weeks. I would need to see more before I could endorse here.
6 GALARINA 6YO seems like a small track grinder, but also coming off some improved efforts at Freehold. A big maybe.
7 FULL EXPLOSION Stopped badly here upon arrival. I don't envision her trying the blast again. Tough to like a lot.
8 ALGEBRA Joe B mare is suffering a case of the outside post blues! That was long grind last week and I have to believe the trip will be similar in here. At least she showed that she could go fast enough at age 12. Only needs a bit more to seriously threaten.
9 JENJEN'S DRAGON Also hampered by nothing but bad posts. 0-17 record. Tried to leave last time and tired. If she takes a shot here, let's hope there's a spot on the rail for her somewhere. Trainer: A better finisher than starter. Look to close if fractions set up.
10 CICILY HANOVER Tough to make a strong case for this mare from the 10-box. 0-24 over two years too! Have to pass.
