Picks: 2-3-1-6
H Horse Comment
1 FROMMING Only son of Muscle Hill in here, and he really hasn’t done anything wrong yet. But, he also hasn’t won yet. Maybe just finding his speed and we can expect more with experience. Wasn’t Yannick’s choice.
2 READY FOR MONI Out of a daughter of the great Moni Maker. By Ready Cash, who’s thrown a few good-looking foals so far. This guy’s looked the part in both off-the-pace preps. I liked the way he’s kicked in. The one to beat.
3 MAESTERAEMON Not sure how to say his name, but he looked pretty good here and then went out to Pocono with a mistake. Since he’s back here, I’d take a good, long look at him out on the track. The price might be okay too!
4 WORDS MATTER Definitely improved a little in the second appearance. Still doesn’t seem quick enough to go with these, but I will be watching for more. He’s heading in the right direction now.
5 KASHA V Has stayed trotting all the way in all three starts, so that’s good. Now he just has to find some more speed.
6 ST MARTINS Hated to see that miscue in the sires stakes final, because he was rolling pretty good prior to that. Week off. Switch to outside post. I’ll also be taking a long look at him scoring down, just to make sure he’s okay.
7 BEADS Tough to get a real read on this son of Archangel. Broke in two preps. When he trotted, with Andy, he was okay. Maybe Andy gets along with him better? We’re going to find out. Has to be rated a longshot for now.
8 SLOANIE Homebred here is still a “work in progress.” Post gods weren’t kind tonight, so I will pass from out here.
9 CONTEXT Fifth foal of mare that earned over $400K. Was in the midst of a tough trip when he broke down at Philly. That’s never a good thing, but there is some talent in this tank. Drew tough post here, so caution likely tonight.
10 MOON BRIDGE Third for Team Svanstedt in here, but with worst post. Comes out of a very key prep vs. Synergy, so that was good effort. I hate the starting slot, since he hasn’t shown leaving ability yet. Not an easy spot tonight.
2 Second Race Entries
Picks: 8-3-5-2
H Horse Comment
1 DUNE HILL Nice homebred filly here for Joe Di Scala, Jr. Once those hopples went on, she showed more reliable speed. The pole is a plus in a spot like this, since she controls her own destiny. Just has to stay trotting to make it.
2 SPOILED PRINCESS Definitely going about things the right way so far! The post cost her dearly in the sires stakes final and she still raced well. The move inside will keep her close enough and she does pack one solid move. Usable.
3 MS SAVANNAH BELLE Has a prep win over #8 and that’s the only time that rival lost! Exits very key race behind Sister Sledge, who has been so impressive. Maybe it’s Belle’s turn to shine? She’s pretty good too! The one to fear.
4 DIP ME HANOVER Also coming along nicely for her Hall of Fame trainer. Some of them need patience, and that looks like the case here. Hasn’t come to her real speed yet, but will one of these nights. Picked up two nice checks, though!
5 HELLO TOMORROW Both Engblom fillies are pretty good! Yannick chose this one, which did not surprise me, but I really do think either can win. That was a very impressive brush, crush in debut. This will be a little tougher.
6 IMPRESSIVE FASHION Started her career like a “perfect lady,” and then ran into some trouble. Shows up on the big track now and we probably have to take a good, long look at her on the track. Must bounce back big to make final.
7 APERFECTCRYSTAL She’s also been okay so far, with no mistakes on view. A couple nice rallies, but she’s not in a good spot from this post, IF she gets away last. Hoping for a little Matty K luck to get her into the mix.
8 HYPNOTIC AM Homebred daughter of Chapter Seven has been ultra-impressive so far! Solid preps here, and then she proved herself strong on the smaller tracks. That’s not easy to do. Back to Big M and we will be seeing speed.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 5-3-4-8
H Horse Comment
1 SOLSBURY HILL Was doing really good work up until that miscue down at Philly. Not every horse gets along with that surface, so more than willing to forgive. The price should be right, if you expect her to bounce back big. Trainer: Was touch running in and off the gate last week and rallied nicely. We’ve made some changes. Should be back to being very useful.
2 TRICKY SISTER Outraced her odds a couple times leading up to the sires stakes final and then she tossed in a bit of a clunker. That trip didn’t help, but she still needed more. Draws better post here, so let’s see if she steps up with more.
3 JULA CHAMPAGNE Definitely happy to get away from Fortune Starlet! Raced her eyeballs out against that foe and fits perfectly here. Has a slight post and speed edge on the other “power” in here and will control own destiny.
4 WORD OF HONOR Nice homebred here, developed by Team Orange Crush. Loved her sprint home at Pocono and she followed it up with a good, gutsy chase to just miss in 56. We know she’s fast enough! In line for good trip again.
5 SANS DEFAULT Daughter of Muscle Hill has done everything asked of her to this point. Note she overcame that impossible post at Pocono at nice price. Then followed up with even more impressive win at Philly. Best post yet!
6 DRAMATRA Had a bit of a clunker leading up to the sires stakes final, and then drew post 10, so forget about that. She’s drawn outside the main power in here, so I think she’s at mercy of pace and trip. Will need to get a little lucky!
7 VIOLET STRIDE Hasn’t quite come to her top speed yet. At least at the end of the mile. Left the gate in two straight, but I do wonder about that tonight. Might be time to race her from behind again. Won’t be easy, folks.
8 PANEM I just hate that she drew the outside slot again. She was VERY good against uncatchable Ramona Hill in her debut. Dexter knows her now, and it wouldn’t be a shocker if she somehow snuck into the final. Owns a good finish.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 3-5-4-8
H Horse Comment
1 ONTOPOFTHEHILL Raced very well against Synergy two back and then regressed a bit from the bad post. I’m always willing to forgive a mistake in spot like that. Back inside tonight and Dex still aboard to sit and stalk. Needs a kick.
2 EXPECTATIONS Was just okay here last week and sometimes, that’s not enough. Seemed to race a tad better with Sears aboard and he sticks, over #8. I like the post. Seems to pack good speed and might take a shot, step around #1?
3 STAY CLOSE Caught us all by surprise last time with a giant mile last time. Yes, I remember he “inherited” the lead, but he still trotted in 54 under wraps! Is there more in the tank? Might need to be, tackling both #4,5. Sharp!
4 SYNERGY Enters off a scratch, which always raises a red flag or two. Obviously, nothing less than best will do against a group like this, but he looked pretty powerful in his first real race. That type of speed can control this for Yannick.
5 CAPRICORNUS After the tough trip at Pocono, I loved the bounce back surge here. That was an eye-catcher, and Tim T now knows the engine under the hood. Plots for a similar stalking kind of trip before he tries to pounce. Watch out!
6 SIXTEEN The hopples went on for the two smaller-track starts, but those posts were killers. This one isn’t that much better! Totally at mercy of pace and trip, outside the main foes. Will need to get a little lucky to make it.
7 PATRIARCH HANOVER Seems to be coming to his natural speed now. That’s always a good thing! Hasn’t really missed a beat in his training up to this point. This does look like a brutal spot in post seven. Wonder what the plan is?
8 SAVINI Talk about improvement! Sent south after good, steady progress in Canada. Really ate up the track at The Meadows, with a good, solid sprint home. Deserves this chance, but in line for a long night from way out here.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 3-4-7-2
H Horse Comment
1 PASSPORT HANOVER Down from Canada and into the Blackler barn. He’s got two in here! This looks like a pretty big step UP in class, so I probably want to watch one. Scotty Z chose #7, so that tells us a little something.
2 ART LECTURE Actually raced pretty well in first go for her new barn. Remember, that race was won up front and she made up good ground from a tough spot. This bunch looks just as tough, but much lesser price likely. Your call?
3 TRILLIONS HANOVER They’ve thought enough of her to enter each of the top stakes so far! So, she finally gets a little class relief. I’m not saying this will be easy, but she should step up and deliver a big one. No excuses tonight.
4 JK MARDI SAYS It’s taken a little while, but she seems to have rounded into better form now. The upset win at Tioga was a surprise, but then she raced well again over at Pocono. Good kick home in a 51 mile. That’s pretty good!
5 WALK ON AIR Simply put, she hasn’t delivered the goods lately. Will have to find more. A longshot tonight.
6 BOOGIE ROLL NY Sires Stakes filly did not race well against overnight mares at Pocono. Needs huge bounce back.
7 BESTSELLER HANOVER Took a month off and came back on Lasix and I like what I’ve seen! Wasn’t going to catch Kimberlee last week, but she was still very good. Same kind of thing coming here, and she might get trip with #3.
8 ABIGAIL DAWN Yes, she let me down last week, but I wasn’t the only one. That was rare clunker from Dawn, so I really don’t know what to expect tonight. Drew poorly this time. Would need big bounce back to beat these in pp8.
9 AZREAL AS IT GETS The field’s lone 4YO shows up after a scratch at Yonkers. So, this is almost a full month off. Gets the worst post against a super-solid field. That’s just not going to work out.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 3-10-4-5
H Horse Comment
1 BACKSEAT TERROR Her name is perfect! She’s been a terror anywhere, and everywhere lately! But, keep in mind she’s never faced a field like this. Huge test coming tonight, but Corey will do everything he can to protect the inside.
2 CATCH AN ACE Quietly in the midst of a very good season so far. I recognize that she’s worked her way up in class, so this is also a test for her. Likes to stalk and will get that wish, in race that could have a LOT of action in it. Longshot.
3 KISSIN IN THE SAND Endured another impossible trip in the Golden Girls and she just hasn’t had any luck yet this year. She’s too good a horse for it to last. Now on Lasix, with a new driver. The turnaround is coming soon. Trainer: Tough first over last race. Would like to see if she can get a trip where she’s covered up, and finish strong.
4 DELIGHTFULMEMPHISN I guess we could call her a very “live longshot” in here tonight. I fully expect a hot pace, with Ally stuck out in post 10 again. This mare can fly late, so I wouldn’t talk you off her, IF the price is right. DM to 3.
5 BETTOR’S UP That’s how you overcome post eight over at Yonkers. Also seems to be turning things around now and she’s a player from this ideal midpack post. It will be up to Timmy to get her a trip, but that’s not impossible.
6 DIVAS IMAGE Had a much-needed comebacker last time. Would love to have seen another race after that. Can she possibly be primed and ready for her big mile yet? I’m going to go with no, but she’s proven me wrong before.
7 WRITE ME A SONG Speed seems like her game, but I do wonder if this field is too strong for her? A longshot.
8 WISDOM TREE Got into the flow in the Golden Girls, but then gapped and couldn’t keep up. She needs more now.
9 SEASWIFT JOY N Raced better than you think in the Golden Girls, but really had no chance to catch. Tonight’s problem is the post, but we’ve seen speed from her before. HAS to leave a little, or she gets away last. Tough call.
10 CAVIART ALLY Yes, she got “assigned” the 10-hole here, just to make things interesting. Gave Shartin all she had in the Golden Girls, but hasn’t been able to beat that foe yet. No Shartin’s in here, but the post will make her work hard.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 7-1-2-5
H Horse Comment
1 QUEEN OF THE HILL Yannick had an impossible choice to make in here, and ended up staying loyal to his main client, the Burke Brigade. But, take nothing away from this talented filly. She’s pretty good! And, has the big post edge tonight.
2 SHERRY LYNS LADY Super-solid daughter of Father Patrick here too! If you want to play against either favorite, then go ahead and consider Sherry. Has done everything asked of her so far. In perfect spot to just sit and stalk.
3 SHE MUST BE MAGIC Perhaps a touch below these top-level stakes fillies right now? I think so. A longshot.
4 BILLIE CLAIRE Shows up tonight with a little something to prove vs. a field like this. Will have to trot substantially faster as well. Not sure Billie’s up to the task tonight.
5 JULIA C Had a much better second try in the Kindergarten, against a very strong winner. This lass was trotting strongly through the stretch though and that kind of effort will serve her well. Has to hit board to make final. Maybe.
6 KNOCKDOWN DRAGOUT Daughter of Sebastian K is doing good work so far for The Stable! I like her versatility shown to this point and she might need that in spot like this. Went fast enough at Pocono. That’s the ticket here. Trainer: Fast filly! Been trying to teach her off the pace and she’s settled down nicely. Coming into a very nice filly.
7 CRUCIAL How good is she? After two very impressive cruises here, she showed up at Philly and overcame a tough post with her good speed. Worked hard to fight off Word of Honor, in tonight’s third. I’ll add points if that filly won.
8 BAYOU Hasn’t had much luck from the post gods yet, and it continues here. Doesn’t appear to pack blast-out speed, so that could be a problem. At mercy of pace and trip, and hoping the favorites mix it up a little. That can happen.
8 Eigth Race Entries
Picks: 10-7-2-3
H Horse Comment
1 SUPERIOR RAVEN Over from Yonkers off a sick scratch, so that’s an issue. This looks like a decent field for this level. He might “need” a race to get used to mile-track speeds. Not my kind of play for tonight.
2 DRAGONOLOGY Surick was VERY high on this guy earlier this year. Don’t know what happened earlier this month over at Yonkers. Came back and qualified well. Got parked at the Spa. Will “appreciate” return to big track. Trainer: Lowest he has seen in a long time. Should be right there.
3 RATHER SWELL Looks like he’s rounded back into some better form out of town. Knows his way around Club Med too! Wasn’t Dexter’s choice in here, but I expected that. Still needs a giant mile to win this. At a price only.
4 ALTA SHELBY N Just one lonely win so far this year and I don’t see a second coming in this spot. I will pass.
5 VICTORYDAZE WILWIN The Daze moves back inside a bit, but I think these are too quick for him. Another pass.
6 JOE JOE JOE Rallied from impossible spot last time, when lowered to this level. He might need additional class relief, but this post is a lot better. IF the pace is hot, AND the flow live, he does have a chance.
7 BIG JER Tough to get a real read on his current form. Showed a little speed in the qualifier over at Pocono and that might be required here. He does like a big track too! I’d use him in all the gimmicks. Only needs a little luck.
8 TIE YOUR SHOE ED Battled away a long way last time. Tonight’s problem is the post, but he doesn’t gas-pedal it out of there all too often. Totally at mercy of pace and trip and I don’t see it working out for Joe tonight.
9 GOTTA GO BB Barn’s other starter in here and probably the one overmatched. The post is absolute killer.
10 ODDS ON LAUDERDALE He was my Best Bet of the night last week and he raced well, coming up just a bit short. I know the post stinks, but I will accept no excuses in here tonight. He’s “supposed” to beat these on class alone.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 9-4-3-5
H Horse Comment
1 TAKE SHAPE Cost only $6,000 as yearling at Harrisburg and is definitely worth more than that already! They’re aiming a bit high with him tonight, but why not? In line for a sit-in, save ground kind of trip for his trainer/driver.
2 LEGION OF HONOR Put it all together to break maiden over at Pocono, so Lucas also taking a shot entering against the best. I have to rate him a medium longshot, but colt is definitely on the improve. Let’s see if he’s fast enough.
3 DUBLIN Seems to have bounced back nicely, after that initial miscue. Outmuscled to the wire in last pair, however. Will need to find another gear to stay close to these and I’m not sure he has that gear yet. Must prove me wrong.
4 MISTER WALKER Got the better of a well-rated #3 over at Pocono. That was impressive burst home! Note that he’s improved each and every start so far for Jonas. I like improving horses. Gets the ultimate test for class tonight.
5 HELLBENT FOR AM S Not sure why he went to running here last week. It was odd to see, because he had been so solid before that. Mr. Sears will hop back in the bike tonight, hoping to keep the fella trotting. IF they trot, make final.
6 BACK OF THE NECK Pretty impressive, both horse and driver here a few weeks ago. Mattias “keeps” the drive for the big stakes test. The only knock here could be the post, since it’s his first outside one. Will have to grind into it now.
7 S CLASS Put the hopples on for the test over at The Meadows and passed with flying colors. That was good speed and strong mile in quick time. That’s a solid step in right direction. Expect him to be gunning out again tonight.
8 ROME PAYS OFF Not really sure what to expect here from a tough post. Ended up in a shuffle when boxed in here last time. Does he fire out or not? I’m going to guess no, so he might need a little luck to make it.
9 REAL COOL SAM His Mom was a very high-speed freshman, taking a 1:51.3 mark. This is her first foal and obviously, he’s got some of her talent. I will note he’s been gelded and maybe that’s a good thing? Been the picture-perfect gentleman so far. Already proven he can overcome a bad post.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 5-4-9-6
H Horse Comment
1 HL REVADON After his strong try in the Dexter Cup, he came up a tad flat out in PA. Some time off and a maintenance kind of qualifier here. He’s going to need more than that for mile track try, but this isn’t a bad spot.
2 CHEAP TRICKS New connections here and they’ve got their work cut out. Horse has always hinted at ability, but he makes those mistakes too often. Let’s see what we get for the Fusco barn. They do good work.
3 MOTHER TERESA It’s taken a while to get this filly back to the races. And she didn’t look all the ready to trot fast enough in her second qualifier. I suppose she will need this too!
4 STAR TRACK HANOVER When interviewed post-race last week, Andy sounded a little disappointed in his new purchase. So, I really don’t know what to do tonight. Let’s check board for any changes. Will need more stamina.
5 HATIKVAH He stepped up and delivered the goods last week for Team Melander. Horse had been rounding into form nicely and put it all together. Got a little luck with fact that main foes drew outside. Might show more speed now.
6 MARVELOUSTRIX She’s tough to figure out, but she’s got a nice motor when things set up for the closers. It’s ALL about pace and trip with her and there could be some action in this one. She could hit the ticket at a very nice price.
7 KNIGHT OF VALOUR Basically towed along last pair to hit the board at long odds. With the switch to tougher post, he’s still a longshot. Probably needs a little more luck to get a similar journey.
8 SOLATIRE HILL Still very much a “ work in progress” for now. I’m going to watch another one.
9 WICKED WIZARD We haven’t seen him here yet. I do see the wicked speed he offered over at Pocono. We know Ake won’t be taking back in this spot, but the Wiz has something to prove on the mile. Will have to go faster here.
10 EVIE HANOVER They took a shot with her in the Tomkins Geers and it didn’t work out. This is definitely a spot to regain a little confidence, but she will surely be tested from a terrible post. Will need a little speed too!
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 6-1-2-5
H Horse Comment
1 SOUTHWIND CHROME They took a shot with him in the Maturity and then got slammed with post 10, so just forget that. Looked awfully good for the new connections before that. Will get a bigger test here with #6, but should follow.
2 CHIN CHIN HALL This is last chance to impress, and see if he might be Hambo bound. I do see added Lasix, to go along with the hopples and L isn’t allowed in Hambo. We need the “real” Chin Chin to step up with more tonight.
3 STEUBEN HANOVER Down from Canada with some real mixed form. It’s usually a bad idea to leave these connections out, but I’m taking a shot that he’s not ready for this. Would have to go a LOT faster.
4 CHIEF JUSTICE Fusco bought a couple of these trotters from the Burke Brigade. Take a look at how the first one did in the tenth. This guy has flashed some ability too! Plus, he doesn’t make breaks. That’s always a good thing.
5 SWAN CHASE He found the “perfect spot” to debut here last week and uncorked a pretty good kick down the long stretch here. I liked that. But, this is monster jump up in class. Can he really trot with Euro? I’m not so sure.
6 EUROBOND Somehow gets into this nice, cozy spot, since he hasn’t won six races yet. Couldn’t possibly have been any more impressive in last pair. He’s likely going to win again, but at a very short price. Try to figure who can be 2nd.
7 HENDERSON SEELSTER Henderson make a nice comeback after the miscue two weeks ago. His form has been all over the place lately, so I never know what to do. This is also worst post in a while. Will he stay trotting?
8 MAJESTIC FIRE Finished hot on the heels of Swan last time, but like that foe, this is a MUCH tougher spot, from another bad post. I just don’t see how he gets into this one, once Euro hits the lead.
9 TORKIL He’s had a few good starts here in the past, including a big win. Returns on the drop, but in horrible post. Will need a LOT of luck just to get into it from back of the pack.
10 ON THE ROPES Raced pretty well in first start for the new barn. I think they’re going to like this one over time. They’re not going to like this post tonight. Will be watching closely for future evaluation.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 7-8-4-2
H Horse Comment
1 SUNUMA BEACH Got away sluggishly last week, which was odd. Seemed like he had more speed than that. Gets the same post, so I don’t know if that’s good or not? Tetrick back aboard to keep him going early.
2 TRICK CARD Should get a real test for speed tonight. Not all these colts can “stretch out” on the mile track. Looks like they’ve babied him so far. Let’s see if he’s quick enough for a sharp barn. I expect a decent effort.
3 KEYSTONE DASH Wasn’t really keeping up in that tougher spot. Definitely needs a little class relief. At least he shows he can pace in 54, whereas some of these haven’t yet. A longshot, but not without a chance.
4 PAPI ROB HANOVER Big-ticket pricetag from the sale last fall. Pelling a master at developing young horses too! And they don’t rush them! Monster improvement in second baby race and this isn’t a stakes. He just might blow them away.
5 HE REFUSES TO LOSE The Kindergarten legs were too much for him too! This is softer, but no cakewalk for sure. Will have to step up his game a little just to get into the game. I have to see it first.
6 CAPTAIN BARBOSSA Same thing as his stablemate, but maybe a tad more advanced? At least he picked up checks in the Kindergarten. Corey seems like a nice fit, but colt must find more zip to win one of these.
7 TALL DARK STRANGER Can’t be any better bred than this! That’s why he cost $330,000! Dam earned over $800K, and a half-sister already has mark of 1:51. This is just second foal. He looked very strong in 52 last Saturday. Trainer: Gorgeous colt that is so far living up to our expectations. Incredibly gifted!
8 LOTTERY WINNER Barn has two in here and this guy didn’t race too badly in a wicked-strong division of that series. I like the speed he has, but I do wish he’d get a decent post one of these weeks. Two solid sons of Bettor’s Delight. Trainer: Raced a little green in both of his starts. He’s quick and handy. Has a bright future ahead once he figures it out.
9 LIGHT UP THE PARK IF he wins, he’ll light up the board! Definitely doing nice work for barn that is trying youngsters this year. Good foundation and good speed. But, I HATE this post! Likely coming from the back.

1 BARIMAH A Impossible trip two back. Never really got into the race last week. Gets some post and class relief tonight, so what can we expect? Tetrick was listed on four and he chose this guy! That’s a big call Have to use.
2 KEY ADVISOR Been working his way down the class ladder out of town and seems due for something better, right? He doesn’t win all that often, however. So, if you fancy, demand fair value. Needs exactly the right kind of trip.
3 MACHIAVELLI Very interesting fresh face here. Surick very good at finding good spots for his horses. This is first decent post in a while. It’s another class drop. But, he didn’t get Tetrick. I still think he’s “very live tonight!” Trainer: Lowest he has seen in a long time. Should be right there.
4 JACKAMINO Sometimes, things just work out and you get lucky. That happened for Z and this guy last week. The rail opened up and he scooted on through. Similar spot here, with a couple new shooters. What will the price be?
5 SPORTSMANSHIP He’s long overdue to win one of these. But, I also wonder if the value will be there? Moves out to a midpack slot to give pilot some options. Horse can go either way. We’ll probably see some speed.
6 ALL IT TAKES Has tried it twice at this level with no success. Still a longshot, and needs a drop.
7 SPICEBOMB I tried him last week and so did Tetrick, but horse ran out of gas. That was a little disappointing and that’s why Tetrick opted elsewhere. I can’t blame him for that. Still stuck with outside post. Change of tactics?
8 TRAFFIC JAM Was rock-solid here a few months ago. Looks like she worked her way too high in class. This is no easy spot, albeit a drop. And, she loses the inside post help. Will need a little luck to get into this one from way out here.
9 MR CARROTTS He’s burned a TON of betting money this year! No doubt about that. Wasn’t Buter’s choice tonight and that makes sense due to the post. I just don’t see how he can get into the race from post nine.
10 MCARDLES LIGHTNING It’s already been a long year for this one and it will continue tonight from post 10.

1 WINNING AMERICAN Hasn’t gotten “the hang” of mile track racing, but he’s been stuck in some impossible spots up to this point. This is finally where he belongs, so I think we can look for a little more. At least some improvement.
2 CARDINALE Raced well here two back. Followed up with gutsy win over a better group at Pocono. I’m not a fan of the missed time, but this is perfect comeback spot. She looks like the one to fear, IF primed and ready?
3 MASSTER BLUE Found that tougher class way too much. Also back to where he belongs, but hasn’t found a way to win here yet. I give him check chances, but probably not winner’s circle chances.
4 DARK AS A POCKET One of three fillies in here, and it’s curious spot for all of them. Looked pretty strong in the Philly qualifier for Tetrick and then looked unimpressive over at Yonkers. Needs the big track, maybe? But, Tetrick chose #6.
5 LATOKA I do wonder who was betting this guy down to 2-1 over at Pocono? Really weird. And horse broke. Finds way back to mile track and in need of a LOT more. I guarantee he won’t be 2-1 tonight!
6 MAX VOLO Didn’t race too badly last time, just missing vs. some closing rivals. This is his level and he has age edge on the fillies. Tetrick’s choice and the one to beat tonight with that speed. Expect an aggressive attempt.
7 ARAGORN HOSS FI Had a “needed” first start in North America and it wasn’t terrible. Gets to drop a little off that, so let’s expect a little more in the tank. I’m not in love with the post, but there could be some action in here. Your call?
8 P L LAYLA Been racing well up at Monti, but this is a brand new ballgame tonight, and post gods were not kind.
9 MA WAS RIGHT I still really don’t know what to make of this filly. She was okay in the Reynolds, and then not so good in the Geers. She needs a little confidence boost, and post nine rarely delivers that. Hard to like way out here.
10 EXOTIC DIAMOND Also looking like a big longshot with a switch to mile track. Too many breaks for my taste.
