Picks: 2-4-5-3
H Horse Comment
1 Czech It Out 0 for 11 in 2017, made an early miscue & lost all chance last time, previous form was dull, has missed a couple of weeks & faces some sharper opponents.
2 Fox Valley Steffen Worked out an ideal second over trip & faded to seventh last week, but was coming off a lame scratch & had missed 42 days, rallied to equal his mark of 1:55 here back on 2-23, draws well to regain some of that form – Trainer: Should be tighter than last week.
3 Rev It Now 11YO makes his fourth start of the season after missing 2016, fresh off a confidence-boosting win @ Freehold, draws inside here & looks ready to step up for Hannah Miller.
4 Detroit Rapper Horse-for-the-course & recent claim showed his class with that easy romp from post seven two starts back, beaten favorite then had a tough trip & ran into a raging Two Hip Dip, draws well to atone.
5 Creampuff Macdaddy Got parked in the slop last time @ Harrah’s Philadelphia & caught a sloppy track before that @ Pocono, only four for his last 43, yet a patient Paul Minore drive could spell upset.
6 Windsun Fireball His lone win in 11 starts this season came in wire-to-wire fashion back on 3-24, so speed seems like his best weapon, faded badly in :32.4 last time however & needs a serious rebound effort – Trainer: Trained well & ready for his best effort.
7 Toss Cartwright Carried over his sharp recent form @ Monticello into a game narrow loss in his return to the mile track last week, anything similar puts him in play despite the tougher post – Trainer: Probably coming from last, if fractions are right, he’ll be tough.
8 Keystone Thomas 11YO gelding has clearly fallen off form recently & shows just one third in seven starts this season, faded to ninth in the Billings last week & lands outside here needing a big wake up.

1 Northern Starlight Homebred Muscle Hill sister to Little Brown Fox, 1:51.2 [$1,192,403] put it all together in her latest qualifier for Trond, pushes off from the rail with lots of promise.
2 Gym Rat Added trotting hopples, stayed flat, yet lagged far behind in his third lifetime start, draws better, has missed a couple of weeks, continue to watch for positive signs.
3 Annapolis Hall Gelding was 0 for ten as a 2YO, had some breaking issues despite wearing trotting hopples, yet did knock heads in NYSS, trotted a :27.3 final quarter in the qualifier here & draws well in a wide-open affair.
4 Running Prayer Homebred filly gained some experience at two in the NY Excelsior Series, tough to gauge off the nondescript qualifier here, watch a few for improvement.
5 Pampered’s Prince Fifth foal out of the great Pampered Princess, 1:53 [$1,648,362], went all the way in the qualifier here on 4-1, then a nonthreatening fifth from the rail @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, makes only his third career start with plenty of upside – Trainer: has been good in both qualifiers & his first race this year, continued to train well after that.
6 Madison Muscle Homebred product of the Maine circuit won his Scarborough Downs qualifier with trot to spare, makes his debut here for a reputable trotting barn & will be monitored closely.
7 Deacon Tony Muscle Hill colt had some stakes experience as a freshman for Team Burke & took a mark of 1:57.3 over an off track, chased a potential monster Tuonoblue Rex in a fast 1:53.4 qualifier.
8 Celebrity Ruth Hails from the first crop of world champion Archangel, 1:50 [$1,140,972], first foal from a sister to Housethatruthbuilt, 1:52.4 [$1,164,931], both 2017 qualifiers were excellent & gets The Buckeye.

1 Romancing Rachel Was barely outsprinted by Chapter Too in :27.3 after a perfect trip last week, Muscle Hill filly draws inside again on verge for Team Burke.
1A Southwind Woody Muscle Hill colt finished a nonthreatening fourth behind his Burke-tuned stablemate, yet had some major stakes experience at two, draws well to step up & compliment a strong entry.
2 Chapter Too Campbell’s Hall of Fame hands have exquisitely guided this developing filly to two wins, a second & a third in four starts here, all from the rail, fresh off a career best 1:55.1 she continues to improve for Mark Harder.
3 Vita Bella Bi After she just missed in her 3YO debut seemed to level off in her last two, last out she left alertly from post seven, sat a perfect trip, had room but not enough punch behind Angel Cindy & skipped last week, chance rebound from a better post.
4 Angel Cindy Rallied stoutly to shock these at 37-1 in round one, then wasn’t up to Chapter Too & Romancing Rachel last week, 4YO mare may revert back to an off-the-pace strategy as she continues to improve.
5 Skaterly Lightly-raced & consistent colt attacked first over & finished a solid third to Angel Cindy in his 3YO debut here as the heavy favorite, previous qualifier was excellent, skipped last week, major stalking threat for The Buckeye – Trainer: was okay in his first start this year, I think he will be much better this time with the week off, been training good.
6 Southwind Pearl Muscle Hill mare was a pretty convincing winner from the same tough post in the opening round, then made another break, she can be competitive on her best behavior.
7 First Class Filly First foal out of a sister to Caprice Hill, 1:52.3 [$992,401] was a solid second to Southwind Pearl in the first leg of this series, then missed last week & draws outside a competitive final, keeping a close eye on her.
4 Fourth Race Entries

1 Skidaway Archangel gelding prepped well in Florida, then broke at more than 83-1 in his 3YO debut here, chance to bounce back from the rail, but faces several superior foes.
2 TT Conway From first crop of Dejarmbro, 1:52.2 [$1,37,285], draws inside off two solid qualifiers, the latest with a :27.1 chasing Top Flight Angel, gelding rates highly fresh off the bench.
3 Dejarover Suddenly set a pretty solid pace & faded to fourth behind Sandy Win last week, pacing home in :32.4 into stretch headwinds, may revert to her stalking ways with a more favorable draw.
4 Cinnamon Prayer This filly has twice hit the board in five starts this season, made breaks as a longshot in the Dash For The G Notes Series, draws well for her rebound attempt.
5 Enterprise From first crop of 2012 HOY Chapter Seven, brother to Guess Who’s Back, 1:52.4 [$114,850], dam is a sister to Poof She’s Gone, 1:53.1 [$1,312,093], romped in his only start at two & cruised in his qualifier here, how good is he? Trainer: was very good in his qualifier & I expect a good effort from him.
6 Ellies Funky Munky This mare finished far back tenth in a division of the Dash For The G Notes, then missed a couple of weeks, previous Yonkers lines were dull & needs to improve substantially.
7 Top Flight Angel Scored his first two wins off a sick scratch just before the layoff last Fall, fresh off an eye-catching qualifier for Team Orange Crush, beating Southwind Cobra, faces another intriguing match up here – Trainer: Had a good week, looking for a good start to his 3YO season.
8 Southwind Cobra Grand Circuit winner in 1:53.3 @ The Red Mile & Team Burke Hambletonian prospect finished strong in both qualifiers, runner up in the latest to Top Flight Angel.
5 Fifth Race Entries

1 Landonfitz One win here this season in nine outings, slow start from post seven & made break last week, chance to eke out a share with a better trip from the rail.
2 Danish Durango Classy 1:52 winner here in 2016, just one for ten in a disappointing 2017 so far, hasn’t quite had things go his way recently, but now gets another class drop & draws inside as a prime threat.
3 Master Of Excuses Found a way to come bursting on through for the upset last week at the bottom rung, draws the same inside post & steps up a notch to meet some classier foes.
4 Pop I Eight-time winner in 2016 broke in the comebacker @ Freehold, that was three weeks ago, draws well here, but gets a pass for future consideration.
5 Cloud Nine Hanover Just 3 for 38 & comes off a break in his second start of 2017 @ Yonkers, Nifty Norman trainee ships into a softer spot with some back class & upside – Trainer: Was disappointing at Yonkers, looking for improvement.
6 Montalbano Bi This Team Harmon-trained gelding found his best stride this past Winter when he took a mark of 1:54.2, didn’t fade much after getting parked last week & gets another class drop.
7 Hyway Marcus Team Harmon-tuned gelding really tailed off earlier this season & scratched sick, qualified adequately chasing the far superior Hannalore Hanover & draws a demanding post.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 3-5-2-6
H Horse Comment
1 Up The Alley Gelding polished off 2016 with back-to-back wins on NY half milers, first qualifier @ Pompano was strong, broke in the second trial, not sure he’s up the tops ones here.
2 Tuonoblue Rex Mystery European shipper debuts here for Team Orange Crush fresh off a standout qualifier, virtually impossible to gauge him at this point, likely needs a start, but draws well to be forwardly placed – Trainer: Coming off a very nice qualifier last week, hoping to make a little noise in his US debut.
3 Crazy Wow $1.5 million winner just one for 14 last year, nosed out in the TVG FFA Final, won both qualifiers for Team Burke, his latest with a :27.2, looks ready to roll right off the hop.
4 B Yoyo Big M lover closed stoutly to hit the board at 19-1 last time, note the two-week gap, chance to threaten late if he gets a pace target to shoot at.
5 Muscle Diamond Aired it out with authority @ Pocono two starts back, then paid the price for an unusually slow start last time, hasn’t raced in a couple of weeks, but look for Campbell to get him more involved this time.
6 Opulent Yankee Steady gelding followed up that easy blowout in the slop two starts back with a lackluster fifth with an ideal trip, has now has two weeks to regroup & faces some sharp newcomers – Trainer: Been consistent at this level, sharp effort last week, expecting the same from him tonight.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 6-7-5-3

1 Icommandmyspirit Finished a well beaten fourth behind Penpal last time, impossible trip from post ten before that, two-week gap & looks outclassed by the top ones in this affair.
2 Barbara’s Shadow A hefty seven for 12 in a breakout season @ Dover Downs, a credible third in the Open last out, but that was 17 days ago, draws inside here to add to the speed equation.
3 Scandalicious Regular in the Dover Downs Open may have tailed off in her last few down in Delaware, but the trips weren’t ideal, she could surprise these with an aggressive effort – Trainer: Been racing well at Dover Downs, hopefully her form carries over to the Meadowlands.
4 Inittowinafortune Very consistent 7YO just missed to the heavy favorite Windsun Glory last week, always count on her to be in a prime stalking position, yet this is a salty match up.
5 No Clouds Bluechip Empire Breeders Classic winner at three flashed much more late pace with a :26 in her second qualifier, while chasing Call Me Queen Be, a serious stakes contender gathering steam.
6 Penpal Couldn’t have looked any better in her two straight 1:51.4 breezes fresh off the bench, steamrolled with an effortless :54.2 back half last out, Pat Lachance has a special stakes player blossoming before us.
7 Call Me Queen Be 2016 Breeders Crown upsetter in :25.4 won her qualifier with a :26.2, outsprinting Darlinonthebeach, barn is off to a great start here, but this is a serious test for her first start off the bench.

1 Karets Three-time winner here this season, all in GSY events, forced wide in most recent @ Pocono, just missed there before that, chance to push off from the rail for a share.
2 Hot Summer Knight Gelding has fired up the engines in his last three, stormed home from a tough spot to just miss by a nose last week, moves inside as a major threat again – Trainer: Came out of last race well.
3 Oho Diamond Rallied from post nine for a nose upset back on 3-3, trying to rebound off a break after a narrow loss @ The Meadows two starts back, this mare gets some class & post relief – Trainer: Gets regular pilot back after rough journeys, should be sharp.
4 Winemaster Hanover Shuffled some & finished well all out while losing a position in the stretch last week, has regained his form, draws well again & tackles this tougher class again.
5 Rock Of Cashel Thought he was sitting on a big one last week & closed sharply in :27.3 to grab second money, drops another notch & knows how to win here.
6 Lauderdale Beaten favorite dropped to this level, tripped out & couldn’t polish it off last week, gelding owns plenty of back class & gets another shot at this easier condition.
7 Exquisite Glide Faded to eighth off a second over trip last week after a solid second two starts back, erratic gelding now tackles a demanding draw in an attempt to turn things around.
8 Rose Run Quickley Gelding has noticeably picked up his game in his last three, handled a double jump in class with a sharp narrow loss last week, tougher draw here, but sharp as a tack now.
9 Tirade Hanover Has been a fringe player in his last two, flirting at the Open level @ Dover Downs, seems well classified here, but a 16-day gap & outside draw make this a challenging endeavor.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 3-4-8-1

1 Stairwaytothestairs Sister to Western Shore, 1:48.3 [$1,247,985] was an even fourth behind Twinkle in an okay debut last week, lands the rail again & continues to improve – Trainer: Nice first start, looking to build on that with another nice draw.
2 Major Syn Beaten favorite two starts back hit the board in her first two appearances here, finished well while pace compromised @ Harrah’s Philadelphia last week, contender with upside from inside post.
3 Jaye’s A Lady Major stakes player at two qualified in sharp fashion with pace at both ends, :26.2 on the end with Gingras, inside draw makes her a major player right off the bat.
4 Twinkle Absolutely impossible to predict her impressive debut here off two nondescript Pompano qualifiers, brushed & held off a fierce late bid with a sparkling :26.4, draws well to make it two-for-two.
5 Anderson Seelster Had a case of seconditis at the Ontario Sires Stakes Grass Roots level at two, added Lasix for her Freehold qualifier, might have to watch one to see what she’s made of.
6 Sister’s Delight Beaten favorite with a perfect trip two starts back, saved ground & settled for fifth behind Twinkle last week, chance to build on that in a similar match up.
7 Mc Attagirl Dover Downs shipper had her recent progress thwarted by a sick scratch, parked & pace compromised in her latest, challenging draw here.
8 Windsun Brooklyn Lightly-raced filly flashed some talent at two, both qualifiers were strong, then broke while launching a late move as the heavy favorite last week, draws a tougher post for her rebound attempt – Trainer: I think last week she was just going too fast, she needs a little more experience.
9 Majestic Dreams Acclimated well with a solid third into stretch headwinds on 4-7 at 35-1, has now missed a couple of weeks, draws outside & remains an opportunist longshot.
10 All About The Pace Bounced back to rally for third behind Twinkle in :26.2 in her second start off the bench, stuck outside & needs some luck to find a way into it.
10 Tenth Race Entries

1 Angel Or Terror Struggled around a sick scratch earlier this season, evenly qualifier behind the far superior Call Me Queen Be, monitor accordingly for improvement.
1A Sage N Her lone win this season came with a huge rally from post seven back on 3-10, her last two ventures to Dover Downs didn’t produce much, she will need a fast pace to rally into.
2 Keystone I Wish Popular mare has been a winning machine here this season, tripped out lower mark to 1:51.2 last week, recent Mike Watson claim looms large from post two again – Trainer: On her game right now, ready to go.
2A Vorst Added Anthony Napolitano, set a rated pace & finished a strong second to stablemate Keystone I Wish last week, stuck outside, yet remains a factor at this level – Trainer: Raced good last start, she’s ready & should be right there again.
3 Whiskersonkittens Her last win came with a perfect trip at this level back on 3-10, flashed a :26.4 from a no-chance spot last week, class relief here puts her in play – Trainer: Drops down & goes well with this group.
3A Joyful Game Frequent winner here has been landing on the fringes against these, draws outside & needs a fast pace & trip luck to get there in this wide-open affair – Trainer: Super Brett pick is a big plus, but minimal gate speed will hamper.
4 Golden Idol Has been gearing up against similar, winning back-to-back on the comeback trail & just missed last out @ Dover Downs, stalking type with a chance to surprise.
5 Gweneeee J Stole one on the front end as the heavy favorite two starts back, beaten favorite tried to close from an impossible spot chasing Keystone I Wish last week, draws the same inside post & owns some back class here.
6 Walk Two Moons Scratched sick after winning three in a row @ Pompano, 10-time winner in 2016 draws a tough post here & likely needs a start or two off the bench.
7 Givemeyourheart Flashed some late pace in :26.4 in her comeback off a pair of sick scratches, draws outside again & will need to step it up substantially.

1 Faithful Friend Struggled from post nine at the $7,500 claiming level in her last start here back on 3-9, sports some dull recent lines & gets a test for class from the rail.
2 Doubledownndirty 5YO mare has had three starts on the comeback trail @ Dover Downs, searching for the right level here, draws well to trip out & surprise.
3 Chat Snap Romped in her first three starts before running into a heavy favorite in Miss Jones in the Weiss Series @ Pocono, promising filly returns to the mile track with an inside draw – Trainer: Has been racing good, missed a couple of weeks, but loves M1.
4 Sandy Win Rallied to finished third off cover behind Phyllis Jean & Dustlanemissmolly last week off an easy win two starts back, Tony Alagna trainee draws inside & continues to improve – Trainer: Continues to get stronger, but meets a much tougher group.
5 Big Bad Beach Beaten favorite appeared rough-gaited while fading to fifth in the stretch behind Phyllis Jean last week, chance to rebound with some fine tuning.
6 Ask Queenie Only one on-the-board finish in ten starts this season, not much in her last two @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, we’ll see how she transitions to the mile track.
7 Touchmatic Filly makes her 3YO debut after winning her second qualifier with a :26.3 sprint to the wire, product of the NY Excelsior A Series deserves a long look here.
8 Backwoods Barbie Miami Valley shipper faltered in her last two there, drops into a softer class here, draws a more difficult post & has missed a couple of weeks.
9 Phyllis Jean Made a quick adjustment to the mile track when she responded to aggressive handling & gunned down Dustlanemissmolly, draws a much tougher assignment off that career best – Trainer: If The Captain can work out a trip with a mare that doesn’t like to leave she will be right there.
10 Dustlanemissmolly Rebounded by battling gamely & gradually worn down by Phyllis Jean last week, moves all the way outside off that game loss, easy win from post seven back on 3-31.
