1 FREETIME Bumping up and down the class ladder at Plainridge. Some good efforts. I like that she's got seven wins this year, and I like the rail too! Should be well-positioned with that speed. Chance for more at a price.
2 SHE'S MY ROCK Didn't show much upon arrival and figures to need a few more races before we see best.
3 DOV'S SONG Wasn't exactly loaded when she raced here a few weeks ago. Followed those up with two more Yonkers clunkers. Just doesn't appear sharp enough right now, so she will need a serious turnaround to pick up a check.
4 ASHOK ACE Retains longshot status, having shown nothing here so far. In need of dramatic wake back up.
5 PERSUASIVE HANOVER Had a couple of tough trips since showing up here at Club Med. At least she goes forward, whereas some of these don't. The midpack post gives pilot options. Chance to hit the ticket with better journey.
6 MISS ALI MACH N Doing good work down at Freehold, so the Dream decides to give her a chance here. Can't really question the mare's speed, but I will need to see some mile track stamina. That's the difference maker! Trainer: Been racing real good at Freehold. Tougher group of horses, but sure she can hang with them, if minds manners at gate.
7 OUR ELS DREAM N Still waiting on a wakeup call from both this mare, and this barn! The mare does have some good history here, but she's been a tough play in current form. The post won't help either. Your call?
8 DANDY'S BEAUTY Pocket-rocketed past Ali down at the Hold! This post will surely make things tougher, but I like the look of her lines a lot more than several of these. Expect Joe to leave a little. Mare will need a good trip too!
9 DEPRIVED The final piece of the speed puzzle here. And stuck with the worst post. This could be a very interesting sprint into the first turn. Marcus knows her now, after that tough trip upon arrival. Could easily be the one to beat.

1 ARRAKIS I really thought this horse had a big shot in the two tries here. I was wrong. The last two Yonkers tries were "no chance" miles. This is more like it, but I wouldn't want short price tonight. Even with Joe Lee aboard.
2 FOX VALLEY STEFFEN Usually needs a few things to go his way to have an upset chance. Best asset here is the inside post. JL can just let the horse settle, sit and save ground, Sometimes he shakes free with a nice kick.
3 BETTER CALL SAUL Liked him in that spot last week and he took a tough beat by the Bi. It was still effort, and good, acclimating mile. This is no easy spot, but he should be stronger with that race under belt. Good spot for the Kriv!
4 EYORE HANOVER That's a pretty eye-catching win from the eight hole at Philly. It was a real wakeup call too, so I hope they got the money. Glasser takes back over for this assignment and I'm anxious to see what we get. Chance.
5 HOT SUMMER KNIGHT I guess we have to think he'll need a race, right? After two straight scratches, and a big gap since last race, I want to watch one. If he beats me, he beats me.
6 SERGEANT SEELSTER Got a few weeks off, after that dramatic improvement for Camp Silva. Of course, I liked him the start before! Oh well. Horse has now been figured out, so let's expect another grinding good effort. Lower price now.
7 PRICELESSPOSSESION We've seen this before. Dave hops aboard his own, on a huge class drop. They don't all win, but some of them do. Will have to overcome the post, but he's done that too! Not sure about the price. Trainer: Been racing in NW10K at Yonkers and finishing with trot in large fields. Fits well and seems to perform best on bigger track.
8 VERSACHET Stablemate of Dog Gone Lucky, who's burned some money here big time. Will this guy get bet too? The qualifier was okay, but not great. The post is bad. I think I want to watch one from this horse too! Your call?

1 TEARFUL OF HAPPY Gets a little class relief to go along with her speed and new driver tonight. Any of those factors could give her big shot to win this. Expect Brett to be aggressive and give #5 all she can handle. Good battle!
2 MYLITTLESURFERGIRL She had such a nice run here over the summer, but seems to have fallen out of form since. The one start here last month wasn't very good, so the Surfer will need big turnaround. Is it coming? Maybe not.
3 LADY OF HEAVEN Working her way back into shape off the long layoff. That first start back really wasn't bad, and she definitely needed it. Figures to step forward with a big one soon, but I might wait one more week. We'll see.
4 HEPBURN HANOVER Scoots up the Turnpike for Nick off a "surprising" 9-2 win. Surick horses don't pay $12.40 at Freehold! Since she had missed significant time before that, she could be even stronger tonight. Watch out! Trainer: Missed a month and bounced back with good mile at Freehold. Big track better for her.
5 DANGEROUSPRECEDENT Uncorked the 'ol brush and crush move for Andy Mac a week ago! I'm going to rate this bunch just a little bit stronger tonight, so she may have work cut out for her. Midpack post gives options. Usable.
6 LIVE ODDS Been rallying well from some tough spots. One night soon, she might get a little lucky and pass them all. You will have to guess when that happens, but I see three speed faves who could battle each other. Consider that.
7 PERFECT TRUTH Got off the schneid with a big rally up at the Ridge, but this is a brand new ballgame here. Drew yet another poor post, and they hurt. Would need a lot of luck, and an even bigger kick to sweep these at Club Med.
8 UNIMPEACHABLE Like #7, coming off a hard-fought win against lesser. They're both not "rewarded" with the bad posts and they both look up against it. Demand a fair price if you think she can reach from out here.

1 CELEBRITY BLUECHIP Tried to go the overland route last time and that didn't work. Gets a key inside post again, but the 11YO lacks that snap speed you sometimes need. Likely to sit in, save ground and try to get lucky late.
2 BOLD FRESH Gets much needed post relief, so that's a plus! Do remember that this horse won a race here this year, so that's added bonus. I'm not wanting a short price here, but don't be shocked by much improved effort.
3 TWO HIP DIP Not exactly one of my favorites, before he's so unreliable, but he does show up with a big mile every once in a while. This is a wide open race, so if you think he will stay trotting, then go ahead and bet. At a price.
4 NO RECESS Gets "lucky" to scratch into this spot, and was Brett's choice tonight. It's a short rest thing, with decent effort up at the Spa on Sunday. That same speed should serve him well tonight, so I wouldn't talk you off him.
5 SCREAMING CONWAY Was just okay in that try here. Followed it up with a grinding second at Philly. I guess he's still seeking the right kind of spot and I'm not sure this is it. Lacks early zip, so totally at mercy of both pace and trip.
6 CULINARY DELIGHT Got sick right after they claimed her, so that's never good. Ran into a real fast race last time at Freehold and never got rolling. Definitely makes a LOT of starts every year, but I don't see this as a winning one.
7 PAINITE Missed a lot of time since last start, so let's takes a pass on her for now. In need of wakeup call.
8 DOWNUNDERMATTER Got stuck in a bad spot in a paceless race last time here, but did finish up smartly. That's usually his game. Dave seems to get along best, but they will have to overcome outside post. I don't see much value.
9 KNIGHTOFVICTORY Back to big longshot status, coming off that miscue. I guess the one rally was a fluke?
10 TIME OUTA JAIL Liked him in that spot for debut here and in truth, he didn't race as well as expected. Now, it's post 10, and Dave Miller off. That's not good. Will need more punch to get any closer and overcome this post.
5 Fifth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 TERROR HALL Just 2-29 this year, so that's not inspiring. After three straight off-the-board efforts, he's forced up in class. I don't think that's going to work out too well. Rating this one a longshot for now.
2 CALVIN B I thought Cal might have a shot in that race on Saturday and he lacked his usual punch. This does look like a slightly softer bunch tonight, so there could be more speed in the tank. Or, an earlier move? Likes to battle.
3 IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW He's been here many times before and with a lot of success. Yes, that's 10 wins this year! If you just toss that last try at Monti, he's a fit for this group. Packs more speed than you think. Can be used here.
4 SEEL THE DEAL N His last start here was against K Ryan Blue Chip, and you all saw what that horse did on Saturday night! No such killers in here. I'm not fond of the gap between races, but Super Brett will have him rolling. Consider.
5 TWINCREEKS JESSE Elected to scratch out of a tougher race on Sunday at Philly and await this spot. It's no easy task here either! Jesse is usually a one-move horse, be it early or late. I'm going to rate him a longshot in here.
6 LIVE ON Was just getting good again at the lower level. Had no shot and no kick in the Philly race. It's all about pace and trip for this fella and there could be enough action to set it up for a closer. Expect him to be coming late.
7 HE CAN FLY N Looks like he hasn't gotten the "hang of things" here in the states just yet. Okay. Now recovering from a bout of sickness? Needed that race up at Monti, but gets stuck with same tough post. Mixed feelings for now.
8 UF ROCKIN DRAGON Probably the key to this race, because of his speed. I don't see Dave just taking back to last, so the Dragon will spice things up early. Needs a big bounce back, though to add to that two-win total for year.
6 Sixth Race Entries

1 MASTER OF PUPPETS One of FIVE in here coming back on short rest. The Master usually needs a lot of things to go his way to have a shot. The rail here is best asset. Sits in, saves ground and tries to get lucky late.
2 DEEPFAVE HANOVER Finally gets a break from the post gods and it's going to help! Had a real tough trip last Saturday trying to grind. Dave Miller sticks with him here and he may give the newcomer a real battle. Very usable.
3 FIREBALL So far, just about everything the Burke Brigade sends here does well. This looks like a new buy for them, so let's hop right on board and bet. He WILL be ready for this, because they all are. 10-time winner too!
4 SWORD OF THE SPIRIT Looks like he burned some cash on the drop down at Rosecroft. This is tougher spot.
5 MARTY MONKHOUSER A Gave it the 'ol good college try on Saturday, but chased a runaway in Larry Karr. Got lost in the wake and now faces another Burke Brigade beast. Might be chasing again. I don't think he can win it.
6 PREPPY ART Now 0-28 and counting for the season. Ordinarily, you'd think this was a good spot on the invasion from Yonkers and big class drop. Unfortunately, I don't think this is it. Neither did Dave Miller. He opted for #2.
7 MAY I CRUISE WEST Followed up that "improved" effort of the 17th, with a flat effort on Saturday. Now gets a tough post. Not likely to show speed tonight, so totally at mercy of pace and trip. Might not work out that well in here.
8 KIWI IDEAL N Interesting invader up the Turnpike from Freehold. Had he drawn a better post, I'd probably like a little more. Driver has won here before, but we don't see him often. Very mixed feelings from this starting slot.
9 DASH OF DANGER Been hinting at a return to form, and got stuck in a little trouble on Saturday. Tonight's problem is the post, plain and simple! Will wake up one night soon, but I just don't think this is it. Your call?
10 BANK SEA Also looking like a big longshot, after that series of qualifiers. Not quite my type.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 NO TEARS BLUE CHIP Neither one of the starts here were super. Looks like he pulled and went nowhere up at home base. Lands the rail again, but will need to find a much bigger punch to stay with these. I need to see it first.
2 PUMPED UP KICKS Was in a good spot last Saturday and lacked that knockout punch. Basically, he's just not finishing his miles strong enough. Yes, this looks like a weaker bunch, but I wouldn't want short price here.
3 A AND C ARTIST One of the possibilities in this wide open race. Had the tough trip here on Saturday, but that could easily serve as a good, acclimating mile. Horse appears to like to battle, so let's give credit for that. Very usable.
4 SMOOTH MOCHA Moves back inside, that puts him back in play a little here. I feel he'll offer fair value in here, plus he's fresh, with only nine starts so far this year. I can make a bit of a case for more at a price.
5 CODE WORD Looks like he got sick and is on the comeback trail. Barn is starting to heat up a little, so let's pay attention a bit more. Veteran 11YO still packs pretty decent speed. Is he ready off that one slow qualifier? Not sure.
6 TRYS LITTLE PRINCE Most of the time, this barn doesn't bring one here unless they belong. This guy, I'm not so sure about. Looks pretty solid against the softer company, but that same speed here may not work. Tough call.
7 ABBEYLARA Gets the very "tepid" call as favorite, in this hard-to-handicap race. Obviously much improved, since Mr. Surick took over. But, is he a fit for the big track? I guess we're going to find out. Expect the big speed, folks! Trainer: Won first start, and then was locked in and shook loose way too late last week. Was raging! Big track will pick her up!
8 LE GAMBE He's been here before, and with a bit of success. But, I usually prefer to try him from an inside post. This spot looks a little bit steep for now. I'll watch and gauge accordingly.
9 IDEAL DANNY The other Freehold invader ships up into an impossible looking spot. Where's he going from post nine in here? Probably not very far.

1 FREESPIN N I really liked this horse two back and he was awful that night. He raced a LOT better last week, battling a long way. So, I feel he's back to good form now. Drew inside again and keeps Andy Mac. The one to beat.
2 IDEAL CANDIDATE Enters off a couple of tough trips, folks. Seems overdue for a bit better luck and also keeps the critical inside post. Marcus driving very well right now, so he's a must use in this spot. Might even get lucky and win.
3 SEA STAR Just okay down at Freehold. Gets post relief too, but I'm going to rate him a longshot here. Shows up with a lot to prove here and I need to see it first.
4 MEDOLAND JATE Tough beat up at Monti, but this guy has plenty of experience here too! If anything that speed try will tighten him up for this race. Let's expect a complete return to form and he could upset the applecart with a trip.
5 E L DARTSMYBOY Doesn't win all that often, but sometimes sneaks onto the ticket. The midpack post is perfect and Stevie will just sit and wait for the flow. Don't be surprised if he gets a tad closer with a potential good trip.
6 BUCKEYE IN CHARGE He's now had a couple of starts to get those mile track legs working again. Now, I'm not willing to put him in the top spot, but like #5, he may find a live flow here and finish better. Won't win, but usable.
7 CENTURY CHANCELLOR Invades from the north with an uninspiring 1-30 record this year. Wasn't Mitch's choice, so that's an added knock. The third straight bad post drawn doesn't help either. Too many negatives for me.
8 DANISH DILIGENCE I really just don't see how he gets into the race tonight. No speed. Drew outside other closers. If you bet, I will simply wish you luck.
9 TERRORS PRINCE Since Mitch took this one, let's take an extra look. Barn hasn't gotten lucky here yet, but it's just a matter of time. Horse had just a touch of sneaky pace last time to make me want to use him. Needs speed here.

1 IDEAL ROMANCE Seeks his fourth straight win over these and drew the rail to boot! We're looking at a very short price here, folks, but I will take a shot to try and beat him. His luck is due to run out sometime. Your call?
2 CHARMBO CURIOSITY Ordinarily not one of my favorites, but maybe this is a spot where he can do some damage. Will stick a bit closer with this inside post and he sometimes kicks in with a nice burst. Demand value if you like.
3 ABOUT THE BENJAMINS Not exactly "delivering the goods" lately, either here or at Freehold. Gets another new driver, trying to motivate him to pace faster. He's a longshot, but from good post. Let's see if he finds more late.
4 THE BRUISER Of the Freehold invaders, I probably like this one best. He was at least battling the $10K claimers willingly. I'm not guaranteeing he'll like the mile track better, but let's give him a shot. Hoping for the upset.
5 WELLWESAID After a lame scratch last month, he followed up with a tough trip. Pilot is a speed kind of driver, so he might gas pedal this gelding out of there. Don't be surprised. Horse has won here before. Usable longshot.
6 WESTERN REDHOT Current form a little flat. Overall record not great. Not sure I can make a strong case tonight.
7 MY DAD ROCKS Dave Miller sure gave this guy a shot last time and he made #1 work all the way. Same boat here. Dave's not going to take back, but horse might need a slightly easier journey to get the cash. Can happen.
8 SPANISH ART IF you think the favorites might somehow battle each other into submission, why not try this closing longshot? He's won here before. Had a touch of kick behind this group upon return. The knock, of course, is the post.
9 BLUE STRIKE Gets slammed with second straight outside post. Unfortunately, that's almost not fair. I do see some speed on view, however, and Vinny did choose him. Maybe he'll take a shot and send, hoping for a seat. Maybe.
