1 DUPLICATED N The King barn continues to march out talented new horses! This sure looks like another. Yes, he may have his hands full with this super field, but I would have a tough time leaving off the ticket. Let's see how good!
2 BURKENTINE HANOVER Yes, he probably just filled the field for the Preferred last time, so don't hold that against him. Prior to that, he was impressing every week. Is this still too tough for him? I'm not so sure. Nice post. Sits, stalks.
3 OCEAN COLONY How can you fault this guy right now? You can't! Goes a huge trip every time around the track. Tonight, you'll probably get a good price on him too! There's no All Bets Off in here, I think. Gives #1,6 a real test.
4 WAIKIKI BEACH A Came to the U.S. with big resume and high hopes. Hasn't quite turned out that way yet, but the story isn't over. On the comeback trail after minor injury. Good qualifier. Is he ready? I'm hoping not. Will wait.
5 K RYAN BLUECHIP Like #2, he's marched right up the ladder, looking good every time. Was making up ground from impossible spot last week, so he's good! The question here will be the trip. Unless Andy blasts? Tough call tonight.
6 GEEZ JOE I must admit, I didn't think Joe was THAT good. And then he ripped around the track in 48! That was SOME mile! Yes, it was against lesser company, but it was big. Let's find out how big. Huge test vs. #1,2,3 coming up.
7 MUSIC IS ART Never really entered the fray last week. On paper, it was a perceived class drop. In reality, it was much tougher test, and he didn't pass. Will he take back to last again? If he does, he might not get much.

1 ICE ATTRACTION World record holder tried a new dimension of speed last week and it didn't quite work out as well. Now, from the rail, Ake has more options. He takes the lines back and can plot his own destiny. Hopes to pull surprise!
2 HANNELORE HANOVER Defending champion of this event is really taking a shot here. I don't know what's gone wrong over last few months, and it isn't good. Barn has said she trained well for this. Will that really be enough?
3 EMOTICON HANOVER After a brief dry spell in the summer, this mare woke back up, as Hannelore tailed off. That's good timing! She is clearly the one to beat, after a spectacular Breeders Crown final. Should control this one for DD.
4 CELEBRITY RUTH Best thing about a race like this, is that she's guaranteed a check! We all know that when she's sharp, she can threaten these, but I don't consider her sharp at the moment. Will have to prove me wrong.
5 BARN BELLA Just one lonely win this year, and this isn't likely to be her second. Likely to sit last and hope to pick off a tired, or breaking foe. That can happen. But, I seriously doubt she can pass them all.
3 Third Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 URBANITE HANOVER Invades from Philly and does have a win here this year, but this looks too tough right now.
2 BILBO HANOVER Returns to Club Med in the midst of a skid and it might take some additional class relief before we see the wakeup call again. Not sure I can guarantee he fits with this group, but he does look better than some.
3 ROGER MACH EM Usually gives a good account of himself, wherever he races. Has always done well here too! Outperformed his odds in that last try at Philly by hitting the board. Doesn't figure to be 47-1 here. A must use!
4 QUALITY BUD Bud just hasn't come back to his old self yet. I don't know why, but it's just a fact. With that said, he keeps showing up in the entry box each week, so one of these night's he will get lucky. I just don't think it's tonight.
5 DECISION DAY This was Corey's choice over #2. Surprised me a bit, but that's okay. 3YO gelding is working his way down in class from some tough spots, so it's only a matter of time until he shows more. Maybe tonight, vs. the 14YO?
6 TIE YOUR SHOE ED Sprung a nice upset here last week, given a picture perfect trip and drive from Marcus. This is a BIG step up when you think he's in against some better foes, but I've seen stranger things before. Longshot again?
7 FOILED AGAIN The 14YO warhorse seeks career victory #107 and IF he gets it, it will be final one here! All of us at the Meadowlands salute this champion and are proud to host him on the "Farewell Tour!" He's given us many memories.
8 SANTIAGO STYLE Like #4, this guy has fallen on hard times too! He's basically been empty in several straight starts, so I'm not backing him here, even at the bottom level. It would almost be a shame if he were to "run over" Foo late.
9 DASH OF DANGER Bet pretty hard in two straight races against seemingly better. He didn't get the cash either time. Now, he draws post nine with just limited early speed on view. Is that going to work? I have my doubts.
10 DEMOCRACY N Looks like the longest of longshots from a dreaded post in impossible situation. Pass.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 7-1-2-8
H Horse Comment
1 VICTORYDAZE WILWIN Gets a better inside post for Mr. Martin tonight, so don't be too quick to toss him out. It's only a matter of time until we see the Daze wake back up. You never know! It could be tonight.
2 MACONUPWITHTHEDRAGON Very interesting newcomer shipping up the Turnpike. Shows a lot of starts. Some good ones. Actually fits this group well, if he can go a little bit faster. That's not asking too much.
3 AWESUM ACE Had a few important equipment changes last week and did pick up a check! I guess that's a good thing. I still have to rate him a bit longshot, but let's see if there's any more coming now.
4 RATHER SWELL Capable of a big one, at times. Happens to like this track and is coming off a mildly improved effort. Could be rounding into form now? It's a big maybe, but the price will still be good.
5 MORE DRAGON Did race a little bit better last time and he did stay pacing! But, I'm probably not ready to hop back on board his boat just yet. I want to see one more good start, with NO mistakes, before I consider.
6 WHITE BLISS It's been a LONG time since we saw the White horse here at the Med. And, he finds himself into a soft spot. Had a brutal trip on Halloween and hasn't raced since. Is he really primed and ready for this? I'm not so sure.
7 GRAND THEFT I've been chasing this guy for a while and tonight's the night he's finally going to win. Matty K will just have to get him rolling early enough and there's nothing in here that should fend him off. Tough to beat this spot.
8 BROOKIES PRINCE N After ONE good start here, to begin the meet, it's been downhill since. He now reaches the bottom class level, so it is wakeup call time. My big problem tonight is the post, and facing #7. Not as good as him.
9 LEGION OF BOOM It's been a struggle just to get him qualified. Not nearly good enough to beat these.
10 NEWBIE Andy Mac hopped aboard last time and they had misfortune of running into a very fast mile. This race will NOT go in 1:49, but it's still post 10! You all know how I feel about that. Would need a dream trip to get lucky.
5 Fifth Race Entries

1 SHARTIN N Enjoyed a nice, useful tuneup down at home base to get ready for this. She's been the dominant force in this division all season, except when she miscued. Rail not exactly best spot for her, but it may not matter. Too good!
2 CAVIART ALLY It's always hard to believe when a horse seems to be at her best late in the season. But, that's how GOOD she looked here two weeks ago. The perfect prep for this. Gets to "shadow" #1 in post two. Can she win it?
3 NIKE FRANCO N It's taken a while, but looks like she's back to her "old self" for Scotty D. That's good, because this is a very high class mare! But, is she ready to tackle these gorilla's again? I guess I have to see it, to believe it.
4 BLUE MOON STRIDE Lot of people were on board betting her last week. It was a big risk and a bad call, from that post. She finished up loaded with pace, as usual. IF you think things get "western in here, you might want to try again.
5 PERCY BLUECHIP Already had her "moment" of the year, when she upset the applecart in the Crown. Even came back with a pretty good tow-along behind her stablemate in the Matron. However, I'd be shocked if she beat her elders.
6 WINDSUN GLORY Returned to the Med with a super try on the lead last time. It took a BIG mile and gutsy surge from #8 to nail it last step. Great spot then, but not now. Matty K chose the filly, so that's not good sign for this one.
7 APPLE BOTTOM JEANS Loved her efforts here last winter, but that was then, and this is now. I honestly do not expect her to threaten the "big mares" in here, but I'll be watching for her later on here, in some easier spots. Hopefully.
8 PURE COUNTRY Final career start for this incredible lass. She passed the free-legged test wonderfully, and showed all her guts in the final few yards. It will take another "herculean" type effort to beat the inside two. Drew rough post.

H Horse Comment
1 WARRAWEE UBEAUT The sport's fastest two-year-old EVER! Do NOT be swayed by that qualifier, as they were just trying to keep her from getting ramped up. The rail here is both good and bad! Will have to earn it, the hard way!
2 LOVE AT FIRST BITE One-time winner this year hasn't really been a solid threat to these. Best asset is post.
3 ALKIPPE After the one Kindergarten win, her stock has fallen a few points. Could also benefit from the inside post, but I really don't expect her to beat the likes of #1,5,7. Do you? Not right now.
4 BEAUTYONTHEBEACH Team McNair has two in here. They're both pretty good! Doug's driving the other one, so Timmy T gets the call again on this one. This is one fast filly, like her momma, so don't be shocked if gets very close.
5 ZERO TOLERANCE On paper, looks like the biggest threat to Ubeaut. And she is! Perfect prep of a qualifier. Gave Ubeaut ALL she could handle in the Crown. Is it revenge time? I wouldn't blame you if you bet. Will be heck of a race!
6 SUMMER CHARM Back and forth between the states and Canada. She does own a turn of speed, but I doubt she would launch into her stablemate on the rail. Definitely a longshot with a wicked group like this tonight.
7 PRESCIENT BEAUTY It's a major accomplishment to get not one, but TWO homebreds into a race like this. Congrats to Mr. Avritt and Team McNair. Tonight's problem for this lass is the post. She's not a zip leaver. Could be real tough.
8 MICHELON'S FILLY Speaking of closers, that's this lass, just like #7. They are BOTH up against it from the outside starts. If nobody pushes Ubeaut, they'll all be chasing her with NO chance to catch. Flew home in her qualifier (25.3)
9 RENAISSANCE LADY N Went a heck of a trip in the Matron, but isn't exactly "rewarded" for that here. Barring a blast-out Sears leave, I'm not sure how she gets into it either. That's up to the White Knight to get lucky!
10 SYLPH HANOVER Benefited from the perfect trip and drive to capture the Matron down at Dover, but she's completely hampered by post here. I see that she can leave, but then her finish could be questionable. Brutal spot.
7 Seventh Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 SONNET GRACE Outmuscled just a bit in the Matron by a very good filly! Don't hold that against her. It's really been a strong season for this lass by Muscle Massive. Since the Burke's bought, she's been solid. Might LOVE the big track!
2 ASIAGO Garnered her one win out at the Red Mile and it was a good one. Best asset tonight is the inside post. Brett got along with her nicely in the Matron, although she lacked a winning punch. Sits in, saves ground, tries get lucky.
3 PRINCESS DEO Also having a very fine freshman season, and it seems she's really turned the corner over last month. That was wicked strong kick she uncorked to win the Garden State Stakes. Very good right now, so beware, folks!
4 CAN'T TOUCH IT Wasn't quite as strong in the Kindergarten final when they went a little faster. But, it was a mad scramble finish, so can't fault her for that. Could easily be part of the pace battle here. Look who takes lines now?
5 JEZZY'S LEGACY Also did okay in the Matron, but not enough to win. I really like this filly too, but in a spot like this, she has to be considered a longshot. Will have to add to that late punch substantially to get any closer. A share?
6 CAVIART JENNY She's a little light on experience, compared to the others. Her qualifiers were both okay, but I don't think it'll be enough to tackle a field like this. Good, solid experience for next year, however.
7 STELLA JANE What a super drive that was by the Captain on Kindergarten night. It made all the difference. So, I wonder if he'll take same strategy here and fire out? I probably would. There isn't THAT much other speed in here.
8 FATE SMILED Draws another tough post, and is definitely on the outside looking in. Would be a shocker.
9 MISS YOU KELLY Also looking like a huge longshot. Broke in the slop on Crown night. Really just buried out here.
10 EVIDENT BEAUTY Her race in the Garden State was strictly a "prep" for this. Okay. She finished up nicely too! But, are we going to see that 27 type speed from the Peaceful Way tonight? She certainly won't win this from last. Your call?

1 WATERWAY Got locked into all sorts of trouble, along with MANY others in here. I think he'll still offer huge price, if you want to take a stab in wide open final. I certainly wouldn't talk you off him, if price is fair. Your call?
2 CAPTAIN CRUNCH The Crunch gave it up late last week, in an elimination race he needed! Nancy said she passed on the bye, because horse would need race. I'm buying into that, and expecting stronger mile tonight. One to beat. Trainer: He really needed a race! That's why I opted not to take the bye. Will be sharper, and tighter this week. Good spot.
3 ESCAPETOTHEBEACH You just have to hand it to this hard-trying colt! He's been absolutely super in every start for over a month. Just missed by an eyelash last time Timmy fit him perfectly. Figures to press the pace and fire again!
4 MANGOGH I greatly underestimated this colt last week and he made me pay for it! That was supreme, gutsy effort to dig in and EARN the win. Reminded me of his rallies at the Red Mile. This is perfect post to sit for the flow. Watch out!
5 BLOOD MONEY Whereas the Captain passed on the bye, the Blood took the bye. Will that work? This guy didn't need the race, because he was busy capturing the Matron in fine fashion. He's played second fiddle all year. Time to shine?
6 MAC'S POWER I think you can argue that this horse was best last week! Why? He was flat out flying from an impossible spot and wins, if the race is one more step. Does that mean he'll be overbet now? Maybe. Won't be 14-1.
7 SEMI TOUGH Also took the bye. Ended up in a nice flow at the Matron, but didn't have the kick. A longshot.
8 REIGNING DEO Like #6, he finished full of pace last week, albeit not quite as much as #6. Gets the bad draw here and that's a problem. Will need a few things to go his way to have a shot tonight. For Andy Mac fans, who bet.
9 SUGAR FACTORY There's nothing wrong with this colt either. He's battled gamely each and every time. Only two wins, but I like what I've seen. Tonight's problem is clearly the post. Dave M had option and chose #6. Me too!
10 YACHT WEEK Easily the longest of the longshots in here. Was impeded last week, but it wasn't going to matter.
9 Ninth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 PINKMAN By all rights, Pinkman should have won that race last week. It was a tad disappointing, because he cruised along and rated so well. Unfortunately, he gave it up late. That does not bode well for tonight, even from the rail.
2 GUARDIAN ANGEL AS One of the many possibilities, in this impossible TVG Final. Anybody can win this, and it might come down to trip. This guy is usually all or nothing. Tim had option and chose here over #4. That's a big call!
3 TACTICAL LANDING Last year's TVG Open was won by a 3YO (What The Hill.) Will history repeat itself? Both this guy and Six Pack could do it. Connections would love to end their season with the ultimate win. Has big post edge on 6,9.
4 WILL TAKE CHARGE I guess if you think things will get western in here, and they could, this is a legitimate longshot closer. He can finish like a monster, given the right setup. Timmy didn't take, but I certainly wouldn't toss. Your call?
5 I KNOW MY CHIP A little disappointing over at Yonkers, but that trip was a nightmare. This guy performed superbly on the big track at Hoosier all season. I'm a bit leery of him being capable of beating a field like this, but maybe.
6 SIX PACK Bounced back from that sickness with a nice, easy cruise in the Matron. That was EXACTLY what he needed. Perfect confidence booster, and I'll admit, they're taking a shot trying this spot. It's not easy. Must deliver A-1 best.
7 CRUZADO DELA NOCHE The Yonkers International champ has seen his stock fall a notch since. Tough trip in Crown elim. Big move, and flatten out in the final. Gets a new driver here. Hoping they mix it up in the early stages for rally.
8 WARRAWEE ROO Actually raced really well with some very tough trips at Pocono. His efforts earned my respect. That win at Yonkers was no fluke! With that said, isn't tonight's post just a killer? How's he going to overcome this slot?
9 MARION MARAUDER Except for the rail in the International, it's been a nightmare season of post draws for this guy. And I'm sure it's cost him big time! It might again. Perfect prep qualifier, but Scotty Z will be tested to get him a trip.
10 Tenth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 DIVINE SPIRIT Unfortunately, something has gone south for this gelding of late. He's a longshot now.
2 HUDSON RIVER Yes, he's burned a good bit of money last few, but he was trip-compromised both times. This might be your chance to get it all back. I have NO idea how this race will be bet. But, if this guy's price, I will use for sure!
3 CHIN CHIN HALL As stated last week, what a superb job of bringing this gelding along all year! It all came together last week with a well-rated, and sharp dig-in score. This horse is for real, and don't think that was a fluke. Grinds into it.
4 QUIKSILVR BLUECHIP Seems a little bit overmatched at this point in a spot like this. Also a big longshot.
5 SOUTHWIND AVENGER Yes, he was very good in the qualifier, and then very good in the elim. Finished up strongly both times, SO I wouldn't talk you off him here. The post is perfect, as long as nobody crawls up front. What price?
6 TRIX AND STONES Speaking of crawling along, that's exactly what Scotty Z did with this guy. Rated perfectly. Sprinted strongly and dug in willingly to win. Will they get away with that again? Absolutely not. Will have to earn it!
7 SEVEN HILLS While Chin crawled along on a nicely-rated pace, this guy tried to grind him down. Note that he never stopped trying. I know early speed hasn't been his best weapon so far, but Corey will have to get him into it. Not easy.
8 FORBIDDEN TRADE I have very mixed feelings about this guy's effort in Big M debut. Connections said they just wanted to "get him around there" and finish up strong. That's exactly what he did. But what now from post eight?
9 NO DRAMA PLEASE He is bouncing back okay from that sickness, but what's Andy going to do tonight? Left smartly in the elim. I'd have to think if horse feels good, no sense taking him back, right? Might as well take a shot.
10 REIGN OF HONOR Doesn't really have any early speed either. So, post 10 is a huge problem. Nothing short of absolute mayhem is going to give him a chance to pass them all. That's the only way he can do it from out here.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 MCTHRILLER I knew he'd race from "off the pace" last week and he did, with a gutsy and game try. Went off favored again. In this spot, I don't think he'll be favored. Stepping up, but maybe worth using if the price is right. Your call?
2 WARMINSTER A Had a nice, educational qualifier to get used to the track. But, he's not ready for this yet. Wait.
3 TERROR OF THE NITE Surprised me, and just about everybody else with that slick drive from Kyle. Snuck right up the pylons and burst home for the big upset. Now, he takes another bump up the class ladder. Is this one too much?
4 CENTURY CHURCHILL I have never guessed right on this horse, so take that as precaution. He has won here this year, but only three tallies in all. Back at Big M again. A slight drop in class. Is this the right spot here? I don't know.
5 BRUCE'S MAGIC I do know that it's usually a good thing to play Bruce on class drops. It's not a huge drop, but enough to make me look again. He's no mortal lock in here, but very tough to leave off the ticket completely.
6 IDEAL ROCKY Marched right up the ladder to end the Pocono meet. Does that mean he can do it here too? I have my doubts, but he's got the right pilot to have him in position. If the flow is live, watch out for him late. At a price?
7 ROLL AWAY JOE Won from the eight-hole at Pocono, which is just about impossible when you have no speed. I'll give credit and respect for that, but I'm going to rate him a longshot again here.
8 MR D'S DRAGON So far, the Burke Brigade has found many a good spot for their horses here. They just took over on this guy, and I don't think we even know how good he is yet. Based on last two, I probably wouldn't be betting against.
9 BILLS FELLA Bill hasn't had much luck since that really good trip and drive three back. Stuck with worst post again, he will need a lot of mayhem up front to set up his rally from the back. Demand fair value, if you think that'll happen.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 1-2-6-4
H Horse Comment
1 MCWICKED Did you watch McWicked last week? Do you really even want to think about betting against him tonight? If you do, I will simply wish you luck. The Horse of the Year has these at his mercy once again. Grinds them down.
2 WESTERN FAME That really wasn't a bad start last week. He sat. He kept up. He didn't lose much ground. Keep in mind that #1 doesn't leave, so Brett might just step around and guarantee a nice spot. Could work for a share or more.
3 DEALT A WINNER Dave took a shot and put him on the lead last week. For a while, it looked like great strategy. Then McWicked came alongside and it wasn't even a fight. What's Dave going to do tonight? I'm not really sure.
4 ROCKIN RON Yannick had an option and chose this guy over #7. That did surprise me for just a moment. Then I remembered how good Ron was earlier this year. Is Ron ready for that kind of effort again? Month off helped?
5 DR J HANOVER Somebody's got to be the odd man out in this field and maybe Dr. J is it. He's tackled much softer company lately. I just don't see that as being enough to tackle a field like this right now.
6 FILIBUSTER HANOVER The Buster raced VERY well again last time. Keep in mind, he's only four, so I can't wait to see what he can do next year at five. He is a 100% guarantee to fire out to the lead here. Will he be on lead when #1 attacks? That's a battle I can't wait to see.
7 ALL BETS OFF Yes, he took advantage of the soft spot last week, and regained some confidence. But, if Yannick didn't choose him in this spot, that worries me. Let's see what Andy Mac has in store for us. Likely coming from behind.

1 BARIMAH A Freshened up a couple of months. His qualifier here was pretty good and he has beaten better than this before. I guess it's just a matter of readiness. I'm going to take a shot that he's NOT ready and wait. Your call?
2 WHATAORSE Keeps giving his all. I respect that. This is really a tough spot for the 12YO, but he's game and making a race of it. Will offer the square odds once again, and I'd suggest using him underneath.
3 DREAMFAIR MESA Wow, where did that mile come from? Yes, he was good in the first try here, but... Gelding continues his march up the class ladder again, but this is no slouch field! I guess I'd be surprised if he repeated.
4 THREEOFTHEBEST A I didn't think he'd be ready for that race off the layoff and he proved me dead wrong! What a mile! With that said, this is a completely different class level. Tackling some real horses here. Will need A-1 best.
5 HUNDIE N If I was willing to bet on him against All Bets Off, I have to be willing to try again, right? In post race interview. DD said he thought horse was good. Needed that race. I'll stay on board and try again in perfect post.
6 AWESOMENESS Admittedly, not one of my favorites, but even I can see that he's worked his way down in class enough to warrant an extra look. I don't expect him to be favored here, like last time. If price is right, go ahead.
7 EXPRESS STRIDE N After a pretty decent second, chasing #3 to no avail, he steps back up and gets a bad post again. This time, it's probably not going to work out as well. Will need a lot of luck and a lot of outer tier flow.
8 JOE'S BID I've been chasing Joe for a while now. He keeps getting stuck in these brutal spots. This is another. How's he going to get into the game from way out here? He's probably not.
9 FRANKY'S BEACH BOY Once one of the PA tracks closes, it's very difficult to ascertain where horses belong here. Franky couldn't possibly have found a tougher spot, and a horrible post. Therefore, I'm going to watch one.
10 BUSHWACKER For all the reasons the Bush was bettable over past few, this is exactly NOT the spot to bet him again. The Double D chose him every week, until this one. That has to tell us something.
