Race 1

5-All Blues – consistent, yet a bit camera shy, burning cash recently in Chicago, but switches to Team Orange Crush off an energetic qualifier

8-Majorly Bad – is a lightly-raced 4yo who has responded to aggressively handling to win his last two, his latest was a Bongiorno bottom out upset first time Conor Flynn

3-Critical Acclaim – catapulted off a hot :54 half & held off one of the favorites in a :59.2 back half, same inside post & moves up into a so-so nonwinners of 3

Race 2

1-Golden Receiver – sufficiently freshened & couldn’t have looked better popping a brilliant :25.4 wrapped up sprint, defending champ remains the main target

4-Meirs Hanover – sat the cones & left in the wake of The Golden One last week, unless the favorite gets roughed up he’s all out for second money again

2-Modern Legend – interesting newcomer from the WEG circuit, lightly-raced 5yo went 7 for 9 last year, sharpened on the comeback trail & lands inside

Race 3

8-Recent News – comes off a solid season, sports decent lines against 30 & 20 claimers at Yonkers, worth a shot with the right set up

2-Automatic Teller – might appear automatic based on the form revival off the claim with Lasix added & draws an improved post

3-Brandon’s Colt – makes the requisite jump to C-1 off a blowout back on Opening Night, a mile that puts right in the mix of this wide-open field

Race 4

8-Bell’s Panacea – forced wide from a tough spot to finish second to Elusive Reward with a noteworthy :56.1 back half, sharp item retains Corey Callahan

4-Gaelic Thunder – was forced first over again into a demanding pace last week, remains a live item bound for better luck from another inside post

2-Buckeye In Charge – only 2 for 36 for last year is a concern, got parked again & held for second over a snowy track on 12-29, matches up well with this group

Race 5

1-So Take That – closed from last to third with a :56.2 back half when dropped to this level, recently added Lasix, switches to Dave Miller & rewarded with the pole

4-Trend Spotter – was barely outgamed with deft Gingras rating, gets another shot at this reduced level as a dangerous Burke Barn bullet

5-Nathan Feelsgood – took a couple of starts & perfect Pierce piloting to spring the upset by equaling his lifetime mark, merits the step up to B-1

Race 6

4-Dial Or Nodial – applied strong, steady pressure to Golden Receiver & still paced home in :26.2, beat Mr Hasani N on 12-14 at Harrah’s Philly

6-Mr Hasani N – New Zealand bred worked his way to the Open level at Harrah’s Philly, winning with speed & versatility, 22-day layoff a concern & might need to acclimate

3-Second Wind N – hasn’t raced in 29 days, no chance last out chasing Dial Or Nodial, yet I like his controlling speed with the Bionic Man

Race 7

5-Mortal Zin – Hip #173 in the Jan. 21st Sale won again in decisive style over Voice Of Truth on opening weekend, this Burke trainee is definitely moving in the right direction

3-Mystic Desire – has come back to make it two-for-two with relative ease, merits another step up to face a very competitive A-2 from an inside draw

7-Voice Of Truth – second by a nose with a brisk :54.2 back half, anything similar puts him right back in the thick of this class

Race 8

9-Esprit De Kayjay N – angled & exploded off cover to repeat in convincing fashion for a hot barn, 9yo crushed in a new lifetime mark & looks tough despite post 9

5-Scotty Mach N – was claimed again off a game, first over try against Esprite De Kayjay A, remains a live item for Funky Munky

6-Keystone Raptor – nice bounce back effort off the break & lame scratch & just missed to the speedy Oyster Bay with a :27.3

Race 9

5-Freddy Day Hanover – had his requisite tightening mile, remains at the reduced B-1 level & lands a perfect midpack post to stalk n pop a field begging to be beaten

3-Hemer’s Card Shark – took a shot with him last week & got bothered early with little chance, drops from A-2 & moves inside, watch him burn me now

9-I Fought Dalaw – showed improvement when he dropped this level, fired out & ran into a standout Mystic Desire, remains sharp on the comeback trail

Race 10

3-Arsenal – second try off the bench after a much needed mile off a sick scratch for Burke, he was facing tougher before he fell off form & draws better tonight

2-Stand By Cam – just 2 for 25 last year, launched from post 9 & couldn’t capitalize on a ground-saving trip, the improved post puts him right back in line to seriously contend

5-Bolero Andrew – came back to life in his second start off a sick scratch with a well-controlled score & now steps up to face a so-so B-2 field

Race 11

3-A J Corbelli – flashed a bit more late kick in that second qualifier, classy Big M lover lands in a perfect spot fresh off the bench with Simon in town

7-Escape The News – unleashed a sparkling 4yo debut for Burke when he just missed to the headstrong River Shark, finds a prime spot to exploit his sharp current form

6-Silver Eagle – dealt with pesky pressure through a pretty fast pace & still held on

while understandably all out, Remmen trainee has cycled forward

Race 12

1-R Caan – Burke trainee got parked in Big M debut from post 9, chased the likes of Mr Hasani N at Harrah Philly, which makes him a major danger

2-Hello Hot Shot – just 2 for 30 last, but lands in a very soft spot here, aired it out two starts back at Harrah’s Philly & just missed to Time To Roll before that in NW of 5

5-The Pokester – joins the ranks of those who seldom win in here, yet he towered up on the far outside to gain the place with a :27.2 last week

Race 13

3-Its Outa Here – I’m going to give him the needed tour-of-the-oval excuse, second try at this reduced C-1 level, third time Lasix, inside post, maybe we get a price

6-Blue Claw – only 2 for 39 last year, first start off the bench was energetic over a good track, we know he likes this track & has a penchant for pulling an upset

2-Big Ten Champ – give him a thumbs up for that third here after stepping up off a win for $10,000 at Harrah’s Philly, plus he draws inside a weak C-1 finale field
