8-Quite A Sight – Took an aggressive try in her Big M debut & finished a solid third, nice acclimating mile after missing three weeks, tougher post, but she can do it either way
2-Best Honey Hanover – Easily went two-for-two here off the claim with Dexter Dunn & scored her third straight with a career best 1:51, draws inside again, sports a 13 for 24 record this season & tough to go against
3-Milady Denver A – Big upset winner back on 11-13, was better last week with a more patient trip, back half in a nifty :54.4 & well situated to stalking the speed
RACE 2
6-Scirocco Patrick – Looks like Mark Silva may have this Father Patrick gelding figured out, responded to a patient trip with a solid third to standout Get Legs & eligible to improve further in his second start off the bench
10-Focus Pocus – Chased the heavily favored Get Legs with strong efforts in all three starts here, will rely on his closing kick with an even tougher draw this time & continues to improve
1-Ching Ching Lucky – Stayed flat, forced wide & picked up a check in his first start for his new barn, only making his fourth career start & back on the rail with plenty of upside
RACE 3
2-Walks Of Life – Bet down to 9-5 favorite & delivered in spades with a perfect cover trip in last Friday’s finale & looms large as a repeat threat with another inside draw
7-Northern Rock – Dave Miller rated him perfectly & found out that doesn’t necessarily work with this 4YO, just missed an upset with well-timed rally before that
1-Mr Disomma – Blew up the board with a huge post nine drop n pop two starts back, then wasn’t heard from last week & now has a chance to rebound from the rail
RACE 4
8-Be Best – Faced much tougher N/W 8 stock @ Yonkers this Fall, forced wide from a tough spot to pick up a check last time, lands outside, but hits rock bottom
5-Baby Got Back – Winless filly finished with much improved vigor in her second start for her new barn off a sick scratch + Lasix, draws better with a big chance to step up in a wide-open field
7-Amateur Hour – Flashed some speed & finished second to standout Tall Poppy in a solid Big M debut, tougher post, but acclimated now & gets another shot @ this bottom level here
RACE 5
8-Esa – Took a mark of 1:54.4 here this season, flashed some sneaky late trot for minor spoils last week, moves outside, yet gets another chance at this reduced level
4-Fingal’s Wave – Upset winner with a perfect trip two starts back was simply left with too much work to do from post nine last week & this improving 4YO draws better
9-Silvermass Volo – 0 for 13 this season, yet hit the board in both starts here, the latest from tenth to third, stuck outside again, but a threat with the right set up
RACE 6
4-Stravinsky – Switched to trainer Andrew Harris & reeled off two wins & two seconds elsewhere, Sebastian K 3YO draws well here to take charge & may never look back
6-Some Chapter – 3YO is on some kinda roll for the red-hot Annette Lorenzon barn, steamrolled to a new mark of 1:52.4 over an off track, so can’t rule out a repeat
2-Mcmatters – Solid runner up to Some Chapter from post eight on 12-4, broke early as the heavy favorite last week, bumped back up, but draws inside again to rebound
RACE 7
9-Chiplosive – Lands outside again off a no-chance trip, a solid third before that, 1:52.4 winner @ The Big M this season drops again & has a chance to dominate a soft field
1-Chief Justice – Chased the streaking St James Gate in his last two, off another strong effort from post nine last week & now moves inside with Dexter Dunn
5-Deo – 7YO gelding suddenly found his best stride in his last two & pulled off a mild upset in 1:55 last week, now that his 2020 goose egg is gone he now hikes up & faces several questionable drop downs
RACE 8
5-Look In My Eyes – Cranked it up in his second start here with a game first over grind for second to No Time To Play, another lightly-raced 3YO going in the right direction
4-Get Legs – This late-blooming Muscle Hill 3YO has methodically gone three-for-three without breaking a sweat & draws well for the well-deserved step up
3-No Time To Play – Kadabra 3YO added Lasix & upset these with an aggressive, yet well-rated effort, lands post three again while acclimated & on the rise
RACE 9
6-Tall Poppy N – NZ bred mare has started to ramp it up, 1:52 winner here dominated a bottom level group with Dexter Dunn last week as the heavy favorite & looms large against a field of largely underachievers
9-Exotic Dance – Has a win, a second & third in three of her last four, all from outside posts, consistent mare high in the win column sports a 1:51.1 mark @ The Big M this season rates highly despite post nine
7-Enduring Hope – Won her last start here first time Lasix from post ten, took her mark of 1:53.2 @ The Big M back on 11-13 & must be feared with the right speed set up
RACE 10
1-Halliama – Took a 1:53.1 mark @ The Big M back on 11-13, too far back in his last three, now has a chance to work out a close up stalking trip from the rail & looms as a price play
3-Gruden – Runner up to the runaway Joey with trot at both ends last week, a much-improved mile with the drop down, now draws inside Joey & figures to be in prime stalking position again
10-Joey – Simply took charge & romped to the mile of his life in a sparkling Big M debut, now moves outside & merits a class hike & remains a contender in a competitive field
RACE 11
3-Ronnie Goldstein – Flashed some decent late trot in :27.3 in a needed started here last week, now drops a notch & draws a bit better, nice price play option
6-St James Gate – 7YO has gone two-for-two here as the heavy favorite since shipping south into the Burke barn, fresh off a new mark & looks like he can tackle the next step
5-Carrick – Was hiked up off an easy win, got aggressive & just missed to the trip sitting Vic’s Winner, remains a sharp item with a 1:53.1 mark @ The Big M this season
RACE 12
3-Alexa Skye – Crushed first over as the heavy favorite with a career best of 1:50.1 over an off track two weeks ago, this Brett Pelling-tuned filly draws inside again & continues to rise
2-Arnie’s Angel – Got to like the way she’s ramped up her game with three straight rallies for second, bumped up in class, but lands post two again with a chance to employ her lethal late kick
7-Golden Quest N – Parlayed a perfect second over trip to finish second to Alexa Skye, a solid Big M acclimating mile, will need to get another strong speed target & smooth cover trip
RACE 13
2-Explosive Ridge – Horse-for-the-course has faded in all three comeback miles, but drops again, draws post two again & lands in a real soft spot
6-Tough Mac – Rallied right there in the photo as the beaten favorite in :27.4 two starts
back, draws a bit better off a no-chance mile & could snap his 2020 losing skid
3-French Moni – Third to the standout All American N three starts back, returns to the mile track with an inside post & chance to trip out in a wide-open finale
