2-R M Blackhawk – Remains a sharp item since the Team Ginsberg claim, grinded one out on the engine when the front end wasn’t kind, draws inside & may be the one to knock off again

5-Beachchip Hanover – Note the solid second two starts back, then got parked & retreated, 4YO posted some solid numbers last year

6-P H Kenny – 0 for 35 in 2017, on the fringes against similar @ The Meadows, third start of 2018 already, barn & venue change could spell long overdue win

1-Rocket J – Just two for 25 last year, but on his toes recently for Mark Silva, forced wide around dull cover to just miss by a neck, Hip #236 in Monday’s Mixed Sale draws inside again

6-Durant – Steady customer fresh off a narrow loss with strong pace at both ends, 1:51.2 winner here last season in form & matches up well classwise

3-Rock On The Hill – Only three for 37 last season, but looks ready to step up a notch fresh off a solid second from a similar inside post

2-Yankee Artillery – Only two for 24 in 2017, but this recent Michael Russo claim rated a solid pace & just missed on a frosty night from a similar inside post

3-Dr C’s Z Tam – 12YO just missed in his last two while flaunting his versatility & sharp form, fresh claim for Mike Watson can set up an ideal stalking trip with a better draw

7-City Pie – Lost all chance with a real slow start despite a soft pace from post eight, was fresh off a win from the rail before that, deserves another shot at this level

1-Mt Sterling Mafia – Encountered stretch traffic issues, which may have cost him the win in his Big M debut, Hip #164 in Monday’s Mixed Sale draws better for Team Harmon

6-Obscene Blue Chip – Stormed home for the huge upset off a sick scratch & followed up with another solid rally for second, chances go way up if the pace is right

1-B Yoyo – 1:50.2 world record setter here last season looks to rebound off a rare miscue, previous form solid at the Open level, strong in the win column & rail an asset

6-Explosive Man – 6YO has suddenly reeled off four straight since switching to Robert Krivelin, continues skyward, but the 30-day layoff must be factored in

5-Iron Mine Bucky – Beaten favorite when he tried it on the lead in the slop two starts back, had to chase the red-hot Rock Of Cashel again in the Preferred last out, major contender in this very competitive affair

3-Western Joe – Improving 4YO beat these with a perfect trip & outkicked them in a sharp :26.3 and took a new mark of 1:49.3 two starts back, fired hard from post nine & blocked in the stretch last time & now moves inside

6-Allblack Stride N – Everybody saw him fly home from far back with Lasix added in his second American start for Mark Harder, builds on that key effort in a very competitive match up
